Strategy gamers wanting to try Level 5's Jeanne D'Arc will be pleasantly surprised to find that they can pick up a demo disk of the game for free. This is a pretty cool offer and one that PSP owners should look into, considering the amount of hype this tactical RPG has been building up.The game is loosely based on the exploits of Joan of Arc during the 15th century AD when France and England were battling each other during the 100 Years' War. The gameplay is reminiscent of the Final Fantasy Tactics series with a three-fourths view of the map, action points, grid based movement, and special attacks.

It sucks that the PSP almost never gets any demos, and that most of the demos it actually gets, are only available on UMD, and not downloadable like the Worms demo we got yesterday. Oh well, it's the devs' own fault that they get fewer games sold because of this.

As usual, the free demo is only available to people who live in America (US, Canada). So nothing for us in Europe. :@

Funny how the game is set in France and England but you cant get the UMD in Europe...
I've played the japanese version of this game, it's quite good. I'll pick it up once it comes out here.
Maybe they're just scared people don't wanna buy a game because it sucks, and the demo proves it. SO maybe it IS the right decision :)

I was lucky enough to play the demo already. This is a great game, and well worth the hype it's getting for anyone who liked the tactics-style games in the past. Level 5 is a great developer, and the game is a must buy.
still, why on earth are they releasing a demo NOW, 3 days before the game is due for release? And why on a UMD? I know the demo was about 300MB, but still. This really seems to limit the audience.

The last one is a psp wallpaper and u see the combat system one which is the last one. You click on elements and then u drag and drop the 2 elements on the bottom to the grid on top in the correct order

The demo is only for North America (read the small print when you register). If you live in Europe, for example, then you won't get a UMD. If they made it downloadable, then all the people in Europle, Asia etc would be able to play it too provided they had a big enough memory stick, but as usual we get discriminated against :(
