Bad news folks, LucasArts has confirmed that they are no longer developing the PSP version of its upcoming Star Wars sequel, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.
A company representative told IGN that the PSP version of the game will no longer release this fall but declined to give any further comment on the games cancellation. The PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC, Nintendo DS and iPhone versions of the game are still on track for the October release date.

The PS3, 360, and PC versions are more than likely going to be the exact same game ported to the other two systems while all other versions are going to pretty much need to be (mainly) built from scratch.
I can see if the PS3 and 360 had one version while the Wii and PSP had two other versions, but I don't see the logic behind PS3 and 360, then Wii, DS, and iphone each having their own version.
There's not much sense to play the SD versions anyways over and HD version. It's clear they developed the games with the HD consoles in mind and the other consoles were just afterthought. A lot of the gameplay elements in the other games were missing.

It also has to be piracy. With a PSP you can essentially get games completely free with the memory sticks they have provided, the DS requires you to buy an R4 or something similar.

but Piracy on the Wii (considering w/ the Wii its just like the PSP flash cIOS and bang you got piracy features!) and DS is Just as Wild as the PSP, and the price of a good FlashCard for the DS/DSi etc is just as much as a good sized Memorystick Pro Duo but.. from what ive been hearing people are selecting out Sony In General in how they are shooting themselfs in the foot w/ the PSP in how overboard they are going to Block Piracy.. The GO! was nothing more than a big failure and a giant Middle finger to the entire retail Game Market.

Everything out of lucas arts has always been garbage with few exceptions. The last exception to that that I can recall was the first mercenaries 7-8 years ago.
And judging from the time in between their release, and the turd they eventually laid for the sequel that was obviously a fluke.
This is about as heartbreaking as finding out that we wont get the next hello kitty ex plus toilet emotion burst.
