If you thought that your day couldn't get better after Square Enix's earlier confirmation of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7's release in North America (March 25 FTW!), then let's heat things up a bit with a teaser trailer for the game!

The trailer lasts for only about 40 seconds (hence, teaser), but it'll probably be the most memorable 40 seconds of your day - maybe even your whole gaming life. The video montages various clips from Crisis Core, scored to Nobuo Uematsu's classic track - the opening theme for FF7.

Take it away, Zack!

I still like how it took Silent Hill: Origins one week to appear from the US to Japan, yet we have to wait 6 months for Crisis Core. Way to go, slackers. How hard can it REALLY be to translate words over?

Localization

games that appear in such short time across areas are usually developed with both languages in tandem with square games, it's rarely ever the case, and there's usually voice acting to record etc.

yeah

not only that, but Silent Hill and the US are very closely linked even though it started in Japan. In fact, there's a pretty recent interview here on qj.net where the producer talks about working in the US on Silent Hill 5. http://ps3.qj.net/Silent-Hill-5-producer-says-Japan-game-development-is-doomed/pg/49/aid/109856 Square Enix, on the other hand, is all about Japan. Their games do substantially better there than they do in the US.

This trailer....

Isn't something im going to be memorable for me at least it shows nothing at all. I mean is it that hard to take the current ones and changed them to English. Its not like its a brand new game that we know nothing about. Maybe SE is too being to busy with FF13 that it doesn't have time for the PSP games. Still won't have money to pick this up due to the fact lots of games coming next year....*sigh*

i... can't believe they're gonna dub the game... lol anywayz, guys, it isnt tat great a game.... the gameplay is a lesser version of devil may cry the plot is based on 3 homosexual gay lovers im a big FF7 fan, and i appreciated every bit of detail the game had to offer on the characters and the plot... but to be fair, it was more a disappointment than it was satisfaction. after you beat it, you can play FF7 over again and go like "zomg that's why cloud's saying that~~!! but seriously... i can't find a game with guys constantly quoting "Loveless" attractive.... (Loveless is a boy-love literature title...)

OMFG

Ok, man... If you don't natively speak English i am sorry..., but I just had to laugh at this. *Quote* " Isn't something im going to be memorable for me at least it shows nothing at all."

Loveless

is it really gay? Oh well. I like the japanese version, even tho I don't know a lick of japanese. I'm sure to buy the american version when it comes out (mainly because i don't wanna donate 1.2 gig to it on my mem stick) but also because I am one of the biggest FF fans that ever lived. And Zack has this underlined gay tone to him, but we can get past that can't we...?
by kei0520 - 2007-12-18 08:17:40
lol...

its not about zack and cloud man... (altho half the game was zack carrying cloud on his back, while talkin to him... +___+) its janus, angel, and sephiroth... they're like... 3P gay lovers.... that's what the whole plot is based on... zack is just the little noob who's always chasing after one of them...

in addition...

in addition to my previous post, i'd like to point out that the english version of FF7 did NOT translate properly to connect the plot from Crisis Core.... Cloud and Aerith has a LOT of lines in FF7 (J) that hinted what happened in Crisis Core, while the english version skipped nearly all of them...

well i guess you didn't read the subject first it makes alot more sense that way. Still i could've added a few things but QJ has yet to add a edit feature on these boards so nothing i can do. So i don't know why your laughing.
