The game, Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War from Square Enix has to be one of the most anticipated titles among the PlayStation Portable games slated to be released this year. When the announcement that Balthier from FFXII and Luso from Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimore was released, people really started to pay attention to the game.
Some people have complained that the game is nothing more than a port of the PS1 FF Tactics. Yes, it is a port, but it introduces new features and content to the game, which should be enough reason for fans of the game to buy it. The game introduces some classes that fans of the series have been waiting for such as the Dark Knight and the Onion Knight. The promised cel-shaded full motion video will be there along with new weapons which include the Keyblade and Cerberus.
Slated to be released in Japan this May 10 for ¥4, 800 (around US$ 41), it has been said that the amount of pre-orders are already in the thousands. Without further ado, here are the screenshots.

Anyway, FFT did look pretty nice, I even actually liked the in-game cut scenes better than the videos because of the very nice animations and the added character they gave to the scenes.
Still, no matter how much they try to show this isn't just a port, it really is just that. The new content doesn't make any real difference and trying to excite people over yet another bonus character that doesn't fit in the plot/whatever similar to Cloud in the original PS1 version is silly.
That said, this game never got that much attention, it wasn't even officially released in Europe, so it's a good thing some people will finally get to see what it was all about (because the GBA version really didn't give a taste of the original with its kiddy approach and no-real-storyline involement). It's really a classic, I hope the new video cut scenes don't ***** up/change the storyline at all.

I loved the first FFT, the storyline was great, and I still play it even, who cares so much about graphics? A ton of new games out there have "great graphics" but it either means I need a jumbo graphics card, or other parts of the game are severely crap ( Phantasy Star Universe anyone?)
I'm kinda urked about them adding something like a "keyblade" in, as well as more characters from the other final fantasies, I'd rather keep with the mature storyline, then add in some kiddy elements from a crap game like kingdom hearts.
I suppose Dark knight as a playable class is ok, I never did like how Holy Knights and all these other unique classes were so easy for all the enemies to be, but I guess it brings in an element of challenge, hopefully they toned down some abilities too, Blade Grasp on a 97 Brave character was wayyy too much.
