North America won't be getting Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War from Square Enix before October 2007. If fans can derive any silver lining from this, maybe it's the fact that the video game title is currently dominating software sales in Japan. It could only mean that we're all in for a good treat.

The Lion War is actually an updated version of the PlayStation 1 (PSOne) classic Final Fantasy Tactics. Aside from the obvious graphical enhancement, several new features have also been added like new job classes and never-before-seen cel-shaded full motion videos.

Speaking of which, here's another cinematic for the The Lion War titled "Abduction." Those who are familiar with the game know that this particular event is very important to the storyline, to the point of being pivotal.

How can you of qj.net be so stupid? I can download and play the game, and I don't need to see an youtube video about the game, I just need to beat the first battle on the REAL PSP...

» You guys forgot a couple of new features they added...

You forgot to add:

- Incredible slowdown when casting spells, summons, and sometimes even when moving around. This makes for a more tedious gameplaying experience. Wonderful.

- This game features the very same 16bit era graphics from the 90's in gameplay.

- It actually plays WORST then the original.

- It is missing content from the original game of yesteryear. (My favorite!)

.....So, there ya go. All the features!

» ***** you

you obviously can't stand the changes. seriously the graphics a way better than any 16-bit rpg. it DOESN"T play worse than the original, and it has a little lag *****ing deal with it you whinny ass mother *****ing *****!!!!!!

» Lag...

Yeah, I saw that lag and I almost needed to puke. It's horrible! RIDICULOUS! I play FFT on the PSP using the OE-A and it playes really really very well...

And the lag make the game way worse to play. :( And it's not a LITTLE lag, it's a HUGE lag. :(

BTW, I love FFT.

» Playing it now PSX version with OE

Man, I missed this game. The original is awesome. The new one looks like there's a lot of lag. Wonder if they fixed the many bugs in there, which allowed for alot of good ol fashion cheating to make the game go faster (mastering tons of classes with practically no JP hehehe)

» for **** sake

It's a turn base strategy game... who cares about lag. I can play it with one hand while masterbate at the same time! What could be better? =P It is not RTS, it is not FPS. Some lag won't kill your ping thus ruin your killing spree =P
