For those who love the classic turn-based RPG titles (like this writer), then you're probably on the look out for Final Fantasy I's remake on the PSP. You're in luck though, because we found two gameplay videos for the overhauled classic from Game Trailers.

Square Enix's Final Fantasy I Anniversary Edition certainly looks good after the makeover and gameplay is how we remember it. The first trailer feature the game's cinematic opening and the start of the warriors of light's adventure. We also see starting city of Cornelia. The second video feature the city Pravoka and a wilderness battle with ogres and zombies.

We'll quit with the babble for now and let you watch the videos. Enjoy!

Seriously?

Is that on the PSP or the DS? It says "The Seas Rage" and all I could see was petty 2d graphics and the water hardly moving!

FF

That graphics... Uh, it's funny, but now it's 2007, not 80'. Is they thinking that anyone BUY this?

FF

remember kids, these are ports for the most part so they aren't going to look extremely amazing. The did this because people enjoyed the originals.

Well...

Compared to the NES the graphics did get a little better, but then again, why get a total make-over when its just a remake of the same game? If you werent psyched when this first hit the stores 20 years ago, you probably wont care too much about this now. But if your like most of the other readers who like this game, they have probably been there to experience this great game first hand on an 8-bit platform--not just emulated. The game in its self did get some upgrades. 6 char for the name, the spells are not just fir, fir2, fir3 but have the "full" name. more monsters and weapons. Granted, i wouldnt spent $40+ on this, but I would dish out $20. Almost done with this game, on the temple of the wind fiend. The second thing i noticed about the game other then the graphics and name's, was after the bridge was built, you had to WAIT for the credits to roll, this one, it shows them building the bridge, and thats it, no 2-3 min wait.

FF

But they could do something like FF: Tactics, remake, not a port. Yeah, of course, I forgot that FF is also cash cow, not only great series...

you kids are spoiled

i bet 75% of the ppl who dont like this game are 18 and under. the other 20% just hate rpgs, or have no idea what one is. for the kids that grew up on n64 and psx i wouldnt expect them to apreciate the release of a true classic. I would have been more impressed with a 3d version perhaps but i dont think this title will sell for much more than $30 (cad) new. but hey what if they just ported the psx version you can play on popstation as is without the high res sprites or dawn of souls addons. geez at least they did dawn of souls for a system not as ghey as gb.... hey who cares anyway. All it is is a quality port of Dawn of Souls on GBA with ps1 sfx, fmv and beautiful new higher resolution sprites. (they look JUST like the old ones only detailed)

Bad Movie

A low quality movie doesnt mean the game sucks.

children children...

Ye who grew up sucking playstation and nintendo 64's *****, learn what a good game is. The originality of games made after the SNES doesn't even BEGIN to compare to pre '95 ingenuity.

^^^

Believe me I've played both versions and the psp is much cleaner and sharper. The music sounds much better and the graphics have been improved. There's no comparisson between them.

This game....

This game looks like crap. I bought a PSP so I want games that have graphics that the PSP can support. Not crappy graphics like that of a gameboy. Now, don't get me wrong. Playing gameboy games and such on the PSP through emulation is fun, but if a game is released for the PSP, then I want it to have that good 3-D graphics that the PSP can handle. Does anybody agree or is it just me who thinks this?

dont be lame

This is a remake from the original back in the 80s. This game was excellent back then, and the PSOne remake was fantastic as well. But this remake looks even better than any of the other remakes which makes this game a masterpiece. I cant wait to buy it. I own all the Final Fantasy games and the old 2D ones were the best ones ever made. Get over the graphics and play this great game! Many older 2D games were WAY better than the crap we have nowdays (3D crap). You need to go back and play some good ol 2D RPGs and youll realize how much fun they really were.
