Did you know that it's all thanks to you guys that Vaan made it to the final cut of Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy? It's true, the development team had already considered just leaving him out of it, but fan demands eventually won out.

Tetsuya Nomura revealed this fact himself in a director's message. According to him, although they really did plan Vaan to come back for Duodecim, the character's original voice actor, Kouhei Takada, had conflicts with his agency which inevitably prevented him from recording new lines.

Square Enix almost gave up on the character altogether because of this glitch, but ultimately, they had to change their minds simply due to the overwhelming response of the fans in their survey, demanding that Vaan be included in the game.

Now, Bobby Edner is voicing the role of Vaan for Dissidia Duodecim's international release. Isn't it nice to have developers listen in on what fans have to say?

Really? A character that had almost 0 involvement in the main storyline? The character that can be mistaken for a girl? A character that was annoying?

Well then! Let's not leave out Vanille!

Unlike America, Vaan is very popular in Japan. That's why he's in Dissidia 012.

Yeah, it's gotta be... maybe the voice actor in the japanese version did a superb job and gave a whole other meaning to that character, because in the western release it mostly ruined the game for me. That, and the fact that the graphics were tremendously pixelated, awful in any reasonable LCD TV, and the fact that the right stick axis was swapped both horizontally and vertically, and no option to change it at all.

Never finished that game, even though I paid full price for it when it came out, and everytime I try to continue it I simply can't... those issues still annoy me as hell :(

I say it's more likely that they were pissed that he leaked that he was working on a new title with Voicework, and nearly everyone already knew Vaan was gonna be in Dissidia.

But hey, if that's the real reason, then whatever.

Lol. Imagine if he was excluded from dudecim and the Bobby Edner bragged about getting the role only to embarrass himself later.

The fact that he has a new voice actor ruins the whole thing.

Let's bring back Cloud with the voice of Bill Cosby. Fans will love that.

With such a huge franchise and several dozen characters available, do we really need ANOTHER sissy boy? We already have Tidus.
why not just get Hope from FF13 in there, too?
Considering this IS a fighting game, why not someone like Shadow or Sabin? Sabin does have blitz attacks and all.

I definetly agree.. why Vaan and No Bash or Ashe? I feel that even Balthier has more fans than Vaan.

Anyway if SE REALLY hears fans, Vivi shoudl be in Duodecim...

IMHO
