EGM: More Square Enix goodness for PSP |

If reports are to be believed, then it looks like PSP owners everywhere can expect more love and attention from the company which brought us chocobos: Square Enix.
Word has it that a member of the IGN boards has spotted something promising in the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly, and according to him, the magazine is dropping hints that Square Enix is going to be paying more attention to the Sony handheld. According to the Rumor Mill column,
Square Enix is whipping up a wild lineup for PSP this year... These guys are serious too! I'm talking new games, remakes of old classics, and an all-new, unexpected Final Fantasy spinoff that will make the fanboys flip.
We already know that the Japanese RPG machine will be releasing the likes of Crisis Core and FF Tactics for the PSP, but what else could they be cooking up? FFXII: Revenant Wings for the PSP? A port of FF VI (Locke fans, unite!)? More Chocobo fun?

I HATE PPL WHO SAY FIRST ALL THE TIME. im just kiddin :P Back on topic, I dont think Square Enix is gonna make a port of a game already on the DS, but I think we can expect some original games on the PSP soon, although they may be related to previous games in the Final Fantasy World. Perhaps even a Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest, or a PSP ONLY RPG will come out For the psp.

They should remake the FF's with new Hentai FMV sequences.
"A port of FF VI (Locke fans, unite!)" Uh, no. They've just re-released it in Japan on the GBA, and it's coming to the US in February. Sorry to rain in on a FF6 parade. Let's just hope that the spinoff isn't a reference to FF:CC. If it is, I'll be supremely disappointed (as if I've never already been disappointed by EGM..)
Yeah plus any self respecting PSP owner has OE installed and a gbsp emulator to run the remake anyways...

I'd like to see a Final Fantasy 8 spin off. That would be freaking cool. Squall and Laguna fighting together father and son. Or hell a new Valkryie Profile. Or how about Dirge of cerberus but you play as Cloud, Tifa, and Barret on how they ecape of edge when Deepground attacked it.

Finally Square is showing PSP some love! I really hope this is true. Spin-offs would be nice but I'd love to see a totally new franchise, or at least a brand new medieval themed FF. I'm nostalgic!
I hate every FF type of game or imitation. They all stupid The battle system sucks... I wish more rpgs could be like Zelda, freely walking around with a sword. That crap about having 4 chars in your group hit him with this then the other with that then the other with this potion is slow and boring. I hate FF with a pation, we need more games like Alundra, Zelda, Neutopia (TG-16) none that HP/DMG crap
Wana sell more psp's? Remake chrono trigger for PSP. FFVII can be played on PSP in PSX gfx which is more than enough right now, but Chrono Trigger has never been retouched, remake the gfx like VI and BOOM psp's will be flying off shelves.

Perhaps a FFXIII spin-off? If they made a DQ game that would help the PSP out a lot in Japan combined with a price drop.

lol zelda is not an RPG, its an action adventure game, always has been. Its has none of the elements that an rpg has.
What the PSP needs is: - A new Star Ocean portable game - A new or ported Radiata Stories - A new Parasite Eve game - The next Kingdom Hearts side story like the GBA game? Not by SE, but should be done nonetheless: - A new Shadow Hearts portable game - A new Grandia portable game
Man I forgot about that game. Hell yeah port that or make a desent sequel to that game.

Secret of Mana, Legend of Mana. Vagrant Story! remakes or spin-offs of those would be great. I have to agree on the Parasite Eve as well. I love those games
I will just say if you hate the game whatever its is indeed made for gamers who enjoy this style of rpg's. I can't even really say that because they have constantly been changing the style of the game. Also though babblinb on here doesn't do anything Zelda is more of a Adventure/RPG than an RPG. Hell it an awesome game and oh for those who like Kingdom Hearts one of the FF XIII games will be made by that team and guess what it will be a free roaming walking around with a sword game (as rumored). But that my beef If you want to name something they need more of try Hardcore gamer games. They try and stay away from this because they think and realize (in Wii nintendo case) that they our just a smaller portion of gamers, but damn i would love too see a game that truly challenges me again, heck nes and snes games where harder than some of these newer games
I was disapointed when i ran the jp version of FFVI i mean i dont need to understand anything ive beaten the game enough times, but it ran slow and far as I could tell was a straight port and the ps1 version seemed to have more to it (again i only tried it out for a few minutes
you can get Xenogears already from the ps1 emulator and xenosaga may have been released for the psp i forget. I think it was released for the DS with eps 1/2 i just need to get through 3 damn the story is geting messed up
I want a Kingdom Hearts for the PSP... That would be really cool. They were great games. A side-story won't heart but please...they have to get rid of the card thing.
I 100% agree with a Grandia portable game that is all I could really ask for is a decent Grandia PSP game or maybe an "Ergheiz" type game ;-D
