Ó

Europeans should be able to purchase this game in a few hours or so, since it's tagged retail date is May 11. So hopefully, this should be the last of all the preview videos for the Grand Theft Auto-esque (it's mighty hard to avoid the comparison ...really, it is) Ubisoft video game, Driver 76.

If you haven't had enough of Car Towing and Truck Protecting videos, and you're willing to click play on the semi-instructional video below, you should be able to observe how stealing vans in the game works. Not that you've had enough experience with car theft in other games.

Looks pretty scratchy but still I think it'll be fun.

GTA CLONE!

The game looks just like GTA. Its a copy, Rokstar should sue this game...the gameplay does look good tho.

Driver

Much better than GTA IMO Not having to drive to all the missions is great.

I agree, it is a clone rip off completely. Rock Star should sue their ass off but don't get me wrong... I like the game play of GTA so this is just another good looking game to add to our PSP libraries.

ยป First Impressions...

When i discovered that the Driver franchise was gonna grace the beloved handheld, i was anticipating this release with excitement (loved the first, liked the second, hated the third, played the forth). I just played the first five missions, and so far, i can say that i am impressed. A nice game, that is definitely worth a decent try, at least. When pressing the ^ button on the D-pad it enters slow-mo, and shooting from the car is a good addition too, making game-play more interesting at times. I have yet to discover and try other features such as tuning cars with Nos and finding some motorbikes to rip around on! The overall graphics are just what can be expected from the hardware (not as clear and defined as GTA, a little more dull & grainy maybe). The size of the game world appears to be fairly large from what i have seen (and have yet to see!). Voice-overs are okay, not too annoying IMO. Soundtrack fits well. Controls are fine. Strong story-driven missions. A PSP exclusive and a solid game. A new addition to my collection, and i for one shall be playing this game for a while. Driver '76 = Thumbs Up! :D

Ha-f**king-ha

You Sir, are dumb. A clone?! The first GTA game was released in 1998. Driver's first was in 1999. In the same year Driver was released^, GTA 2 came out too. In 2000, Driver 2 came out with a more free-roaming, step-out-of-the-car-and-hijack-another-style gameplay. My point is that Driver made the move to a 3rd-person, free-roaming game BEFORE GTA DID.
