DJ Max Portable (International Version) is here |
Ó
- English version! Now there's an English-language version for the PSP: DJ Max Portable (International Version). Yup, "completely English", says the Play Asia description.
- Features. There's one new song ("River Flow" by Planetboom). Tracks still come in a wide variety: Techno, K-Pop (Korean Pop), Break beat, Rock, Hip Hop, etc. You can adjust speed and fader, and play a mirror mode. There are lots of other features. Our favorite: Ranking Chart so you can show off just how good you really are. There are unlockable tracks and items in the Gallery Mode.
- Gameplay. Depending on the difficulty setting, you play with four buttons (left, up, triangle, circle) or six (left, up, right, square, triangle, circle). The L/R buttons are used to change the speed.
Update: Sorry if I wasn't clear. Play Asia has this on stock and they say they can ship it (usually) within 24 hours. Also, thanks to Reneid Klein for this gameplay video. This is a waaay old gameplay vid of the Korean version, but it's more effective than any "brand new picture" of the English version. You get to see what the hardest setting is like.
So now you know three things: 1) the old Korean version is easy to learn but has songs that are hard to master, 2) the English version has one extra song, and 3) yes, the English version is already available. I am so sorry for any confusion!

great game, love the use of both hands... thanks for the update
http://www.thetalkingcoin.tk/
Is the english version avalible now,'cause i want mine now before Sony shuts down Play asia.Lmao.
No really ,when it comes out?.
I want this real baaad!!!!
1.PSP Rhythm
2.PSP Revolution
3.DJ MAX..
the best music game available on psp hands down
it's so worth 50 dollars just like tekken
This game is really hard.
who cares, this game sucks
The original game was almost completely in english anyway. The only thing in Korean is the text when you unlock things (it pops up telling you what you unlocked).
Guess it didn't take much translating, haha.
An extra song is neat, but odds are you'll never unlock it or have the skills to play it anyway. The game is awesome fun, but extremely difficult.
This is the best music game I've played. I own Guitar Hero and played every DDR song on PSP Revolution, this game beats them both.
As people have said, it's mostly in English already. I'll probably buy the english one anyway for the new song and seeing what the menus say. For anyone who hasn't seen the game in action, here's one of the more popular songs played on the hardest setting:

Play Asia has stock and they can ship right away.

This is why DJ Max is one of the hottest games ever... you know it's big if they're coming out with an International Version.. too bad the Korean version is already in English, aside from minor text. But one new track...?? they shouldve added more...
DJMax is cool.... but hosnestly.. i prefer O2Jam... sadly it will never come to PSP.
i bought this game like a year ago with the korean version, one of my favorite games, it is like 80% in english when u do buy the korean version, its a game where anyone could pick up and go, start at easy than work up to difficult, if u actually have the game- have u ever beaten the song sin (drum and base) lvl 13 in 8 button mode, the best ive done is blythe lvl 12 and 13
i owned this game in korean hehe btw that video isnt very hard its actually very easy ;p
there are four button, six button, and 8 button modes.
thats dpad left/up and triangle/circle for four, add dpad right and square for six, and L/R ass bass/background effects for 8 button.
using L/R to speed up/slow down is optional.
Yes, i own the game, so i know. no, i cannot play oblivion on the whatever "max x2 hard version", i'm still only middling at 6-button mode. i can ace any 4-button, though. :)
there are maybe ten-fifteen songs i really like, but most are suitable for button mashery anyway... too much jpop for my taste, but eh. I alos wish the one rap song on there was less... white... and used more than simple flash animation as a bg.
daym this is seriously one of the best games for PSP. Its so addictive i beat it like 50 times...lol if you havnt played this yet you definetly need to pick it up..i think i might get the english version jus so i know what im winning at the end of the round...anyways great game definetly worth the money
When I said the hardest setting I meant that it's on the Max setting. The hardest MODE is 8B. He's playing the hardest setting on the normal mode.
Sorry for any confusion.
Perfect! I've been looking for a bemani style like game for PSP. Looks alot like Beatmania.
That is sad lol he must a lot of spear time
I have the Korean Version and its like 99% English but this game is the best ever. My favourite PSP game! It has lots of replay value.
loll damn is this suppose to be a button smasher?
You're fingers would probably get too sore from simply buttonmashing on the psp. If played right, you'll get used to just pressing the buttons n not mashing them because later on, you probably wouldn't be able to get through half of the song.
This looks alot like pop n' music :/
why didn't they release that ;(
i've been whishing for that for a long time.
although there is still a lack of buttons
this game is sweet. too bad they dont have too many bonuses on the international version.
