Dissidia Duodecim to have between 4-10 new characters

light With the confirmation of Lightning, Kain, and Tifa, the Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy roster now has three confirmed new characters. It won't stop there. According to ever-reliable Famitsu, the game will have between 4-10 characters that weren't playable in the first Dissidia.

The Japanese mag, however, doesn't have any info on who else will be making it to Duodecim. All the characters from the first Dissidia will be in attendance, plus between 4-10 more newcomers. Minus the three already confirmed, we should be looking at between one to seven more additions. Vaan from Final Fantasy XII is likely among them.

Bets and wishlists, anyone?

well to be practical, any extra FF2 or FF5 characters would be redundant since the other supporting characters have no unique abilities or fighting styles, they'd be like bartz or firion. everyone was the same. although i do want Gilgamesh to be in it very badly, and tetsuya nomura said that he wanted to include gilgamesh in a sequel to dissidia.

4 is way too few. 10 is about right. There should be a minimum of 10 new characters to make this sequel worthy.

Haven't played FF1-3, 5, 11, 14.
Doesn't include current confirmed characters
FF4 - Rydia
FF6 - Celes, Sabin, Locke.. hack the whole crew is awesome.
FF7 - I.. am satisfied.
FF8 - Seifer, Laguna
FF9 - Vivi [MUST HAVE], mayyybe Freya
FF10 - Auron, Yuna, Seymour
FF12 - Anyone but Vaan. Preferrably Balthier, Basch, or Fran
FF13 - [possibly] Sazh, Fang, .. mayyyybe Hope?

I'm satisfied with Lightning though

I'm pissed. The game should NOT have every character from the first one with altered movesets. That's like replaying the first game. It's almost like DLC.

However, my vote it on Auron forsure. And not Vaan, but Fran.

i wonder ...do they have any girl baddies after ff8? haven't finished 9/10/12 yet :(

but i'd like Vivi and Lulu to be in it. wonder what they're weapons are? Lulu should use her hair like a whip, that would be awesome. imagine when she head bangs to whip opponents and that action could see her cleaves. hehe my bad!

dont think that going to be happen, lulu not really a 'strong' character in FF10, she is just like sidekick, not sure if they can relate her to the story. But yuna is possible

but if ever lulu is in the game, she will most likely make moogle, caitsith, or tornberry as her weapon.

my wishlist is
1. ff3 - i dont have any fav character / characters have no specific skill
2. ff4 - palom & parom as 1 selectable character, edward - the only bard in FF, or rydia - with actual summoning skill
3. ff5 - i dont have any fav character / characters have no specific skill
4. ff6 - gogo, umaro or mog, lol or gau with his blue mage ability.
5. ff7 - aeris and vincent, but since tifa already there , so its no no
6. ff8 - rinoa with her dog
7. ff9 - vivi! red amarant, or freya
8. ff10 - kimahri, lulu or auron
9. ff11 - i dont know any character in there
10. ff12 - i dont like any character in this game.. lol but basch is not bad.
11. ff13 - havent play
12. ff14 - myself, alfie ishmael.. lol

Barret Wallace and Wakka & Lulu ff10. I admit it would be awesome to have Sora, Riku, or Ven/Roxas.. but we all now that won't happen any time soon...

My wishlist:
FF1: Not sure, maybe Astos (villain)
FF2: Leon (Maria's brother, Villain kind of)
FF3: Xande (Villain)
FF4: Edge (Hero), Zemus (Villian)
FF5: I would say Gilgamesh, but he's also a summon in some games.
FF6: Shadow, Edgar, Celes, Setzer (maybe?)
FF7: Vincent, Zack
FF8: Seifer (he cut Odin in half for crying out loud)
FF9: Freya, Vivi
FF10: Auron, hands down. Also Seymour.
FF11: Only played it once.
FF12: Fran or Balthier.
FF13: Satisfied with Lightning.

It's most likely the FF5 character will be Gilgamesh, since they mentioned wanting him in before.

I was hoping for at least one or two new characters PER SERIES, but this 4-10 new characters leaves almost no room for that...

I'd still prefer Faris instead of Gilgamesh. Maybe they could drop Bartz and add both.

I'd say:
Yuna With a sphere dress system that alters her move set and in EX Mode she becomes a summoner and calls an Aeon depending on the magic she used. EX: Fire=Ifrit, Blizzard=Shiva etc.
Auron because he's just a badass would be awesome.
Other people I'd think would be good are Balthier, Snow, Seymour, and maybe even the main character from Tactics?

i want....GALUF! he was so bad ass in FFV. too bad he died. i was all like "NOOO!!!! GALUF!!!! T_T" he was an awesome Geomancer for me.Jihl could work. maybe even a character class from XIV like with FFXI and Shantotto. perhaps even Cecil's son, Ceodore? but seriously, either add Boko (Butz's Chocobo) or Tonberri playable. shanking people with Tonberri would be fun.

FF Tactics - one hero from the series..
it would be cool to have one.

FF7 - Vincent (cosmos)
FF8 - Zell (chaos)
FF9 - Eiko (cosmos) / Vivi (cosmos)
FFX - Yuna (cosmos)
FFXII - Vaan (cosmos)

I really recommend Zell @ chaos's side. , all the characters there look monstrous, why can't they put a hero-looking villain at their side like Zell.. :)

So we have:

FFIV: Kain
FFVII: Tifa
FFXII: Van
FFXIII: Lightning

What I would like to see:

FFVI: Edgar (his variety of crazy weapons would be cool to see in action)
FFVIII: Irvine (fighting with guns)
FFIX: Vivi (he may be too much like Shantotto though..)
FFX: Yuna (a real summoner)
FFXI:Lots of great options here: Kam'lanaut, Eald'narche, Lion, Tenzen... But I think Shadowlord is most iconic.
FFXIV: Yda would be pretty good, or maybe E-Sumi-Yan

If they want to put in a Cid it should be the one from XIII. Of all the people who played it how many times did you die on that fight. HE WOULD BE BEAST
