Def Tech lends hit song to Lumines 2 |
Listed in: PSP Tags: Kotaku, Q Entertainment

After that Weekly Famitsu article that specifically listed some of the artists on the American version of Lumines 2, I thought that the songs in the American version would also be in the Japanese version. As it turns out, the songs in the Japanese version seem to be an even more eclectic collection.
According to Q Entertainment (a million thanks to Kotaku's Brian Ashcraft for translating the Famitsu article), Japanese reggae band Def Tech will be one of the featured artists in Lumines 2. The band's hit song "KONOMAMA" (check out the vid below) will be in the game along with a skin featuring a video clip of the band. Check out the pic up top for a mid-development look at the Def Tech skin.

- graphics of the bricks and the layout is worse (those rounded and shaded menu elements are horrible)
- the bricks are animated: more visual noise
- the special brick (the one for the chains) is dificult to recognize
- no 2 player on the same PSP
- no autosave of gamedata (why?)
- no multiuser (with lumines I i played with a name&icon and my girlfriend with an other and we checked al the time our highscores...)
- songs: they suck!
