Still having second thoughts picking up the PSP Go? Well, here's a great deal from Sony that will hopefully change you're mind. The company has launched a new promotion that will reward any North American and Canadian consumers with a free copy of either LittleBigPlanet or Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines for free with every purchase of Sony's latest handheld..

The deal is almost similar to the one launched by Sony Europe last December, but this time, early adapters and existing Go owners will not get a slice of the pie. The PSP Go In-game Promotion Code redemption process works like this:

You must purchase a new PSPgo unit starting today until Sunday, March 21, 2010.
To redeem code, you must create a PlayStation Network account or login to your existing account directly from your PSPgo system.
SCEA will then e-mail a code (using the email associated with one’s PSN account), which is good for one qualifying PlayStation Network account to download the game for the PSPgo system, via the PlayStation Store.
All in-game promotion codes must be redeemed by March 31, 2010.

LBP was a boring game for me, I did enjoy it but became repetitive and that pulls me off.

Assassin's Creed, ended quickly.

Not a good deal, imo.

Bring down the price to 100 USD or less.

In Japan, Media Create updated list shows that PSP go sales are pretty bad, Sony should decrease the price while they can.

i bought mine when it came out... and the Europe one got all the deals for existing owners... sony sure screwed every one over with this psp go... guess im selling mine. to bad no one with balls has been able to push a cfw to the public for psp go...

I agree, 100 or less and I'm sold. At least not for brand new. lol I'd grab it used from Gamestop.

I waited 6 years to get an original DS at $50. I can wait for the Go. Depending on how awesome the PSP2 may be though, I may just skip the Go.

The screen is crisper on the lites, button layouts a bit better and the stylus is in a good place

No, the screens are the same. The Lite is a tad brighter. Buttons are, basically the same. Minus reaching down for the Start/Select buttons. And the stylus placement doesn't matter... They're stored the same way, just on different sides...

Toooootally not worth the extra $40.

sorry for the double post, but after reading how to get the free game again im confused. how will sony know if you just purchased a pspgo or not? cant you just log into your psn account from any psp and they will send you code?

Awkwardly that wouldn't even work for me. I've got imported UMDs of games that are available abroad, but not on the Europe PSN store! It's madness!
And a lot of the Europe UMDs I own aren't on the Europe PSN!

The PSPgo continues to fail. They learnt nothing from the PS3 price disaster. Even if you bundle a great game with the console, it won't sell.

What matters is the price, Sony.
Reduce the price to 199 and people will start picking it up.

If early adopters in the EU could take part in the promotion, I don't see why US customers should miss out.

So far Sony have dished out 5 free games in Europe to those who bought at release, which almost makes up for the massive price hike (about $350 for the unit). Maybe they don't feel as guilty in the US...

I don't think anything will help PSP Go. Lack of UMD and little games on psn store are are just to much. With titles like KH Birth by Sleep only on UMD theres no reason to by Go.

Drop the price to $149 and buyers will have about 100 more reasons to buy a Go than they do now.

What are those 100 reasons?

Positive:
1 - More portable than the previous PSP's
2 - Includes 16GB
3- Connect PS3 controller to PSP go (this isn't near to portability, but ok)
4 - Slide screen
5 - Blue tooth connection

That's about all the positive features I can think of.

Negative:
1 - No external battery
2 - No UMD driver (yeah, it's smaller because it hasn't got a UMD driver)
3 - No support to transfer UMD games to digital format (for whoever had a PSP already would've wanted to take into his own PSP go)
4 - Can't trade in games
5 - Only in digital format content
6 - A bit smaller screen (it's rly not so much)
7 - Super slim buttons
8 - Analogic button hard to control
9 - PlayStation Store fails on missing many games
10 - Absurd price for something so simple
11 - People can be dumb enough to buy a PSP go and a UMD game thinking it'll work

Everyone knows this, it's something all gamers talk about (well, not all).

149 USD is still pricey for PSP go, more lower, like 100 USD.

Lol see Slide screen isn't a plus, it would have been if the screen was protected! But protecting the buttons? from a design perspective that's ridiculous. BT is subjective, it was never needed for my older PSP and games, so why is it important now?
btw the max storage for both a Go and 3000 is 32gb. either a single Pro Duo card or a Go's internal 16gb and further 16gb micro pro duo.

Yup. 32gb Pro Duo HX for £144 here! Kinda steep though.
The max M2 is 16gb.

It's actually cheaper to buy a 3000 and 32gb card than it is for a Go and 16gb card

seriously this is complete bs man, when the go first came out we only got a "LITE" version of rock band, Europe got freaking grand Turismo 5, wth man this blows for those who have bought it already

If they want the PSP Go to do well they should have bundled both these games (or at least 2 AAA titles) from launch.

It just annoys me that Sony seem to be deliberately f***ing this thing up. And why isn't this offer available for the PSP 3000 too? You know, the best PSP available?!
