Head's up to the homebrew community! Liquidzigong is back in the scene to update his custom firmware 5.03 and 5.50 Prometheus project, to support more games and improve its compatibility with the latest titles.

Just a little refresher before you proceed, custom firmware 5.03 Prometheus is a modified version of CFW 5.03 GEN-C that allows PSP-2000 TA088v3 (2000v3) and PSP-3000 users to launched all the latest titles that require firmware 6.20 without the need of plug-ins while custom firmware 5.50 Prometheus on the other hand is a modified version of CFW 5.50 GEN-D for PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 users.

Harsh but probably fair in the majority of cases.

I just bought Kingdom Hearts BBS SE, but because I use a CFW 2000 PSP for UMD games I can't actually play it. I use my Go for all the official stuff but of course there's no digital copy of this particular game.

CFW updates are always welcome for me, but then I use it for homebrew, not piracy (barring the occasional ISO for a free "try before you buy" at any rate! Nobody's a saint after all! ^^

Yeah, probably a bit ungrateful, but also used to a higher standard of psp hax.

I do pay for my games tyvm. Never really used CFW to pirate games, if I want it ill buy it, they aren't expensive. Mainly use it for homebrew fun.

Perhaps your mindset is why the PSP isn't getting a lot of good new games, because its so easy to pirate it hardly anyone buys them; therefore the game companys don't bother putting a lot of them out.

So thank you for screwing the PSP, take your attitude and shove it, get a job, and support the companies to bring better games to the PSP!

I wish DAX didn't kill himself or something...A 6.00 M33 would be pretty boss right about now; in the midst of all these mock firmwares. Seriously, there's like, 5 different 5.50 CFWs (including the updates, D2/3, Prometheus -1/2, etc).

Get over it dude! DAX is gone and there is nothing we can do about it. We have to be happy for what we have. Cause these guys that we have today made a choice to do this. And they they could stop whenever they want two..
So jusst be happy that there is still some people willing to try cracking and develope for the PSP

I have to agree with both of you, DAX was the bomb, and unfortunatly retired or what have you. I would love to see a CFW of the current firmware, but I guess its not going to happen.

They just keep patching the holes to keep the boat (CFW 5.50) afloat, eventually we'll need a new boat, but do we have anyone anymore that can build us a new boat (CFW 6.00)?

But atleast we have poeple willing to keep doing CFW's at all.

all of the custom firmwares now are the reversed engineer of 5.00m33....i wish a new DAX will born or something like that...or a jailbreak version of PSP ^_^

i cant get any of my homebrews to work now after instaling this program. i get data corruption messages everytime i try to load stuff. what should i do?

|'ve tried to install promethus 2 on CFW 5.03 Gen-C on my psp 3004 TA-V 090 v1 ....
|'m able to play iso's n cso's games made in year 2007 or older but not the new ones...
