How is that cool? At all.... someone obviously photoshopped their PSP. This definatly is not newsworthy.
Oh, and for the stupid ones. It's not possible. The UMD drive, not to mention the internal light, not to mention the motherboard, not to mention the cpu all sit directly behind the screen.

nice job. I wonder if you could get it so it was like a live transparency, by getting a mini vid camera, and then somehow wirelessly streaming it to your pc then streaming it back to the psp. The lag would really suck, but it would be cool

What ou dop is take a picture of something, then display that picture on your PSP right in the same spot so it seems "transparent." People do this all the time for their computers. They're not trying to "trick" you guys or anything, it's just supposed to look cool. Notice how one pic is even ebing used as a background?? All they've done is take a picture and put it on the PSP.
The refraction of the light that should happen when the PSP is at an angle does not happen plus for *****'s sake, look at the light levels in each *****ing screen.

is fake , look at the first pic , look at her nose and the one displayed in the psp screen , the shape of the nose at the bottom of the nose in the psp screen are less than 1/12 inch in ending the nose and in the real life the bottom of her nose appears with at least 1/4 inch. Sorry if you din't understand well what I said , I'm sleepy right now.
They called these things OPTICAL ILLUSIONS for a reason.
Yes some of those are fake but if some of you have not figured out how to do it its easy. Just take a pic of somthing close then view the image in you PSP put the PSP in the location where you took the pic but put the PSP in the area where you took the pic and move farther away and take a pic of the same area but makes sure its showing more area thats surrounding the PSP......

folks, this isn't difficult, all you need to do is get a nice pic of a psp, make the screen area transparent, add a white/blue filter to it, and copy it over pictures, or if you are hardcore, prop up a camera a certain way, take a picture, fix the aspect ratio, put on psp, then have it showing while you take a picture

Nope dude, yours are obviously fake compared to the ones in the post. I do think the ones in the post are legit - look at the reflection, shadow and ambient light. Using PS to make them is not the right approach you want to do it ;)
The first pic, the psp strap is behind it if u look at the right hand side, it sticks out but u cant c it on the screen, and the persons hair is over the top of the screen yet u can c past their head. the pic with the psp 'hovering' by the laptop, i wish my psp cud hover then it wudnt matter if i dropped it, and whereis the side of the laptop on that screen?

this is called optical camouflage, developd by some japanese smartheads at tokyo, its simple, a camera capturing the scene behind the psp a computer processing the captured images as like you see the real scene. the images are then sent to a projector which projects the image on the psp, and because the image is projected by the technology called Retro-reflective Projection Technology (RPT), you can see the reflection only on the psp screen cause they probably set some Retro-Reflective Material on it, or perhaps the psp screen is already retro reflective ^^.
this technology was announced 4 years ago if i remember correctly XD.

umm not anyone could do this. looks like it would take some time and photoshop/camera knowledge. I bet some of it took some time to get right. but its only mildly entertaining to say the least. I think that it is funny all the people saying that this article is not worth the time posting, yet it has some of the most comments I have seen. Also funny is all the flamers that are either criticizing the making of the photos, or making fun of the people who appreciate this.
This was made by someone just having fun, and should be taken as such. If you don't like it, who cares? I for one think it is neat, easy to do, but neat none the less.
PSP updates is still in my opinion the best site for pspinfo/hacking and if you dont like a article, here is a easy fix, DONT READ IT !
