Blade Dancer: Lineage of LightBlade Dancer: Lineage of Light will be among the many games to be showcased at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this week. Details of the game's storyline and other game info have been released to give gamers an idea of what Blade Dancer will be all about.

Screenshots and info about Blade Dancers: Lineage of Light have been blogged about before, but these details can't describe how promising this game is. The story takes place in Lunadia, a magical world where both evil and good exist. The Dark Lord and his forces have come close to ruling this world because they destroy everything and everyone who got in their way.

Blade Dancer: Lineage of LightThis Dark Lord would have triumphed over humankind but for the spirited defence put up by the Blade Dancer Gerard - also known as the Guardian of Light. But this guardian disappeared when the Dark Lord's champion the Dread Knight arrived. This meant the Dark Lord was free to conquer the world of Lunadia, but then he too disappeared. And the answer to the mystery of the Dark Lord's disappearance lies in the island of Foo.

But most of the adventure and encounters with monsters will take place in an island called Galecia. Players will be cast as Lance, who sails to this far away island in search of adventure. Lance will take on challenges and quests from townsfolk that will lead him to the countryside where most of the monsters are located. Here, players only need to target monsters (or floating skulls) and make contact with them to enter combat.

Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light
Blade Dancer: Lineage of LightLike in most RPGs, the weapons used and the player's abilities are degraded after they use them in their attacks. There are four kinds of skills (called Lunabilities) that the player can use in his attacks: group, solo, assist and heal. These can only be triggered once the player has built up enough Lunar Power in the Lunar Gauge. The weapons used could also break and become useless, and this is where the recipe and crafting system in the game kicks in.

The recipe and crafting system will allow the player to create his own items by combining different elements and placing them inside a pot. These collected items also have effects on Lance's attributes, making him intelligent, fast, or even giving him power.
