Ape Escape Racers demo |

phatmax_666 was able to find an eboot of the Ape Escape Racers demo and he bagged it up on the QJ forums. It's just a demo, presumably from TGS, and it contains only one track. Despite this, it's still a good demo, as demos usually go.
To make the demo work:
- create a folder - file:/psp/game/UCUS98655
- transfer the Eboot.PBP into that folder.
- X: Accelerate
- Square : Brake
- Circle : Use power-up/weapon
- Triangle : Horn
- L+R : morph to "rocket mode"
Currently, phatmax_666 is hosting the file on RapidShare. And we all know how difficult that could sometimes get. As of the moment, we can't host the download link just yet, but soon enough, we'd post it here. HOWEVER, we have the file on our forums, so for now, you can go there (linked below) to check the demo out.

why even post this garbage, no one in there right mind is gonna go above 2.71 anytime in the near future unless of course GTA:VCS and all the other rape ass games coming out soon require it....which i'm sure they will. oh well

Mario Kart, Konami Krazy Racers, Chocobo Racing, Diddy Kong Racing, Pac-Man World Rally, Crash Team Racing, Crash Tag Team Racing, Jax X: Combat Racing, and now this! Argh! Another arcade style racer! Why can't we just get another Ape Escape? Why this crap!? Moving on...
@2 what do you mean? 2.81 didn't fix the tiff problem, so surely homebrew works on it as well as on 2.80. Id there some new issue with 2.81?

I have just downloaded the demo....it's monkeytastic!!!
I have also managed to get the demo working on FW 2.80 using Hex.
(I say this because the links to the demo have already expired!)

At least Jak X and CTR were awesome. They were developed by Naughty Dog, after all.
But you forgot Sonic Drift, Sonic R and Sonic Riders.

Finally a kart-racer game where you need to brake! Unlike Mario Kart, you flip if you turn to fast. Rocket mode is cool. You'll spinout if you crash in rocket mode though. Weapons, pretty good, though not a lot.
Best of all, they got sirens on their heads! YES!
The course looks like one of the monkey helmets, FYI. It shows a lot of the terrain and turns.
