Ad-hoc not required to meet friends in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd

Want to meet up with your hunter friends in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd? Sure, we all know about the multiplayer baths available around, but did you know that there's another way to meet up with the gang even without getting into ad-hoc? It's true, you can do it even in single player mode.

So how do you do it? You'll be needing the Guild Card system. Essentially, this is your personal identification card of sorts. In it would be the record of your hunts, and as is customary in ID cards, your profile picture. This one here's fully customizable too, of course. Now, you can use this Guild Card as your calling card, so to speak, so you can give it away to, or trade it with, your hunter friends.

Coming from the receiving end of the Guild Card, the other hunter's data will then be stored on your PSP locally. He can then pay you random visits at the Yukumo bathhouse. Now that's how you keep the connection.

There are already 2 alternatives to infrastructure and that is through tunneling via the PS3 or Xlink Kai. Actually, I'd prefere those 2, because infrastructure servers from Capcom would mean ridiculous censorship and communication issues like in MHTri.

I would complain and bitxh about how they should add infrastructure, but you made some great points about capcom and those nifty alternatives. If only people were smart from the beginning we would just have infrastructure with no restrictions. UGGGH why are companies sooo LAME!

it hard to play this game if you dont have mic. best off use ad-hoc party when you play this game as well

It's hard only if you are a noob. If you play good, for example you know what items to take with you on quests, microphone is not needed. Personally I play only in adhocparty.

Then it's not exactly false, is it? You can't really dismiss someone calling something difficult just because they're new at it. Everyone's new at time point.

That'd be like you calling me wrong for calling powerlifting a difficult sport or something.
