Activision Hits Remixed boxart and screens |
Ó
We seem to be getting more and more proof to back up Eric Levin's analysis of why classic collections of games from the yesteryears are becoming more and more popular; we have EA Replay, Capcom Classic Collection Remixed, and another one to add to the list is Activision Hits Remixed, which compiles 40 of the most popular Atari 2600 titles such as Stampede, Pitfall, Kaboom!, Grand Prix, Tennis, and tons more. But instead of boring you guys with OUR analysis of why these nostalgia-inducing games are making a huge comeback in the gaming industry, whaddya say we just let you take a peek of what's in store for you via screens, eh? Today we bring you five more screens for five different games included in the collection; Checker, Beamrid, Fishing, Freeway, and Laser-B.
Scheduled for a US release at the end of this month, and on November 22nd for Europe and Australia, Activision Hits Remixed is also available on the PS2 and GBA. Enjoy the screens!

Primeiro POST!!! Brazil RULES!!!
Segundo Tambem!!!
More junk that we can already play on the PSP....now they want you to pay for it....and it cost them aslmost nothing to make so they are laughing all the way to the bank. DONT BUY IT. FOrce these companies to make origional games...dont accept all their old garbage.....get an emulator and play them at home or on your psp already!
everybody with a 2.8 can only pay for the games, because we dont have an eloader or emus. so i guess we have to pay
They are pushing it. Who the ***** wanted sony to make PSP so they can play *****in pacman on it? or any of the "hit" bs for that matter... stop being panzies and make actual games... ironic thing is that these lazy ass developers are the ones complaining about PSP. USE WHAT YOU HAVE AND STOP PORTING *****S FROM THE 70's!!!!
I seem to be of the opposite view of the above posters, I think that if a company made a decent classic game, they should be able to charge a fair price for such games even many years into the future. Just because James Brown, New Order and the Cure (three of my faviourite bands :P) are from past decades, does't make their music any less sigificant. Just because 2001, Clockwork Orange and The Shining (yes, I'm a Kubrik fan) are from past decades, doesnt make those movies any less significant. Lets embrace these games, pay their due fees, and let them live on forever in popular culture.
Looks like a nice collection of games. I wouldn't mind buying it.
played em the 1st time around and they was crap then!
Rite, these Classic collections, Retro mixes, and Greatest Hits are starting to suck....who wud actually buy them? WHo wants to play such old -8 bit games on a portable 128 bit, widescreen console!? Nintendo did it fine with NES classics...that was clever. Sega was ok i guess with Sonic mega collection and the other MD games that were fun to play. BUt COME ON. The Atari 2600?! Tennis, Pac Man and Stampede. Im sure Acitivision isnt that underfunded..that they need to slap classic c**p onto a UMD. Make some good games for goodness sake.. Otherwise we'll think you fools at Activion are underfunded f****ing sellouts!!
yeah, it's enough recycling by far now. i haven't come across a collection where they actually improve their old stuff. gameplay-habits have changed in the last 15 - 30 years, you know. to me old games that i loved to play in the 80ties now simply feel clumsy and annoying: the handling, the lack of options, savestates, ... activision these days seems to have little up their sleeves indeed.
