If you have a low tolerance for cuteness, then we suggest you just go to Wikipedia and look up the original Fate/Stay Night that this game is based on. However, if you're up for some fun cel-shaded chibi-styled fighting action for your PlayStation Portable, then the screens below should provide a decent preview. Some of the screenshots show the relatively simple battle system that the game has, and some show how the start of the single-player story mode looks like on the menu screen.
The first batch of thumbnails are gameplay screens; the second, is a whole lot of concept art. The concept art features some new characters like an "Assassin", a "Saber Lion", and "Iriya" (we're basing these names of the machine translation of the Famitsu report, feel free to correct us in the comments). Wow, bizarre looking game... Looks like the doujin and commercial figures for the commercials for Fate/Stay Night. Looks like a party type of fighting game. I'll check this out later...
The character's name is Ilya, not Iriya. Expanding more on that name is going to give headaches to more than one... Just look at Arcueid Brunestud... That Nasu...
this is a disgrace to the show. i watched the whole thing about a year ago and it was anything but cute. it was all action. too bad it wasnt that long.

Well, it looks fun nonetheless. As for being a disgrace to the anime, its far from it. I think it was a good addition to the serious side of FSN. Also, the anime isn't a disgrace to the graphic novel either. It actually follows the Fate route of FSN extremely closely, with slight differences. The only major differences are the Archer vs Berserker fight, Rin vs Shirou fight, and the entire Caster arc. As for the names, its not Iriya, its Ilya, as in Ilyasviel von Einzbern. Iriya is just how the Japanese pronounce Ilya since they have no L sound in their language.
