Developer's note:
TN HEN allows you to execute homebrews and plugins. It includes a TN VSH Menu for some nifty features. It's similar to the Custom Firmware - without ISO/CSO and PSX support.
Requirements:
- A PSP with 6.20 installed.
Instructions:
- Install Patapon Demo & HBL on your PSP.
- Extract EBOOT.PBP to /PSP/GAME/HEN/EBOOT.PBP, or to /HBL/GAME/EBOOT.PBP if you want to launch it directly.
- Launch Patapon Demo and load exploited savedata (Continue).
- Now, it jumps into HEN mode.
- Enjoy homebrews and plugins (you'll lost HEN mode, if you reset/shutdown the device or if your PSP is crashed).
As stated by TN before, the homebrew enabler will not support any ISOs/CSOs, but several teams are reportedly working on game loaders to solve the problem.

If it crashes on you, create a folder within the hbl folder and name it: GAME
Once you've done that, drag the HEN into the GAME folder and launch Patapon and execute the exploit. Once the HBL menu is done loading, it will take you back to the XMB and it should work.

Oh shut the fuck up you greedy selfish bitch. This was released early because TotalNoob released v2 to PSPGen, and they didnt want to have to release it 24 hours after releasing v1, which is why it was released today.

Thank you graciously for the TN-A! ;)
Immature joking aside, it's great to see the PSP homebrew scene still fully functional! It's been going for so long now and it's still amazing to watch! :)

While I'm impressed at TN's hacking ability(excelle nt job there), I'm not impressed by how this was released or the state it was released in. It could have been released in the current state much sooner with a warning about current known bugs.

P.S I still wish TN and PSPGen the best of luck on future revisions/hacks/firmware. (I use 5.50 Gen-D3 Prometheus v4 myself)

P.S. A 3000/GO doesn't "Semi-brick". He's lucky the install failed or he would have a brick that Sony would NOT fix.

You should know to never downgrade a PSP below the firmware version it originally shipped with, and D3 is based on 5.50 whereas later PSP models (including EVERY Go) shipped with later.

Anyways, kudos to TN for a job well done

Not for him releasing it now but for it to actually be real.
There has been so many fake releases its about time one was real.
But, whats the use of it?
HBL loads homebrew so what is this really good for? IF it loaded ISOs then yea, it'll be good but as it does nothing new its more of a joke than anything.
I will say thanks to the dev who gets ISOs to work on the PSP GO.

And u better not say not everyone uses this for piracy because those torrent numbers dont lie

He just released exactly what he promised and you trolled again? First, you owe him an apology for calling it fake multiple times.
If you don't like what he does, prove yourself useful and do it yourself. Until then, stop trolling.
You do know that an ISO loader would kill the PSP releases, do you?
He also clarified that 6.3* woulod be included in a future release. At least, try to finish reading previous posts before you troll on them, troll.

Start supporting our developers a bit more or games wont be out for Christmas...have a good holiday guys.

This HEN is kernel access. That's the entire point of it (considering we've had HBL for a while, which was user mode).

Also, this is worse than current permanent CFWs (as in it does less, not more), don't upgrade.

I have no need for this, because i run custom firmware already, but i'm sure this will give the psp homebrew community the boost it needed for a long time.
Thanks for the hard work

"HEN differs from one part of Eloader because it allows to run homebrew from the XMB, and secondly, the traditional custom firmware because we need to revive the HEN each time you restart the console."

i just got a few questions tho...
i just got my little bro a memory card for his psp for crimbo to put some iso's on. but i just found out today, that his psp is a 3000 with OFW 6.00.
does this work on his psp 3000 if i update to 6.20?
or what would be better if someone could sugguest how to install a CFW on his psp 3000 with 6.0 so it can run isos?
i just don't wanna update to 6.20 and it not work, and be stuck there if u get me?
thanks
any help would be appreciated! just wanted to make it a good crimbo for him with a selection of games!
cheers!

Each time you start the PSP up (from being fully off, not from sleep mode) you will need to run the HEN (through Patapon 2), then the ISO loader program, then you can run ISOs.

This was need due to HEN not supporting the full 64Mb on the GO. You should also delete the kernelbuttons.prx from the DX64 folder. HEN doesn't support the method we use to link to the Home button. Also when using this, I recommend switching to the classic style menu. This is to avoid a crash that can lead to having to re-enable HEN.

You run it and it enables homebrew (until you shut the PSP off).
Just update to 5.03 and install a normal custom firmware (5.00 M33-6 or 5.50 GEN-D3).

1. with HEN loaded and psp on, take out mem stick
2. press select, and choose "restart VSH"
3. After it restarts, reinsert mem stick, and run homebrew.
This works in my 3010 PSP, hope it helps you.
