6.20 TN-A HEN available soon UPDATE It will be out on Dec. 24th

Ok, enough with the recent PSP drama and on to some good stuff. Wololo has word that the first public release of Total_Noob's HEN is now ready and has already been sent to the folks over at PSPGEN since yesterday. According to Wololo's recent post:

"I chatted a bit with Total_Noob a few hours ago, who confirmed to me that the first public release of his Hen is ready and has been sent to pspgen yesterday. I assume the staff at pspgen will now be testing the Hen for a little bit, making sure there is no last minute bug, before they make the public release."

Looks like we'll be having a taste of the HEN anytime now. Stay tuned.

*UPDATE*

Word from PSPGEN is that it will be out on December 24th at 12:30 (French time) or 6:30 AM EST.

when i get 6.20 tn hen im going to install the 5.03 cfw enabler and play iso i have a psp go and if that downt work i may downgrade it to 5.00m336 also it wont be permanent because i have a psp go i got my psp go a few weeks ago and it came with 6.20 im soo lucky and i already feel like a expert on psp hacking and its just a week i start reading about this.

Chill... It's out when it's out, it's not like you are gonna die between now and the 24th. It's like a Christmas present. But the PSP community is almost dead anyways, I never see any new and good homebrew apps or such coming out anymore, just more HEN for new firmwares.

How is it greedy? It's free right? They just got privileged (mind you, if they do crap like leak it, well then there's no more reason for TN to even release his stuff again to a site like that or to the public) to test it out and it was probably agreed on that it would be released on that date... It's because of dicks like you that think homebrew developers need to cater to what you want...

He agreed to give it to pspgen first because they sent him a Go (A $200 device) to test it on since he didn't actually have one. I'm sure there's plenty of developers willing to give you stuff first if you donate a couple hundred dollars of equipment for them to use. ;)

Besides, it's important that the HEN get more testing before it's released, as we only know of TN and Wololo testing it. We don't want it bricking devices when it comes out, as for the devices that can't use pandora (which this HEN is for) there's no manual recovery.

I have been following this for some time too, my question is this, is this only a Homebrew ENabler? Or is it a full CFW? Either way, i am excited to try this out. Will I still be running GEN C? or MHU 5.03 after I use this? Or, like i asked, is it only a HEN, or a full CFW

You know what would be a christmas present? Releasing it as soon as they got it so people could enjoy it over the break. We've waited months for this and they want to add more on cause they want more traffic. Its greedy/selfish/rude.

I have days off now. Its done now, they have it now. The time they want to release it? Ill be at work. Assholes.

As if PSPGEN has the authority over validating or signing it off as a release. What would come of sending it to them? Give them the source code to rip off something again and release 6.20 GEN-A? Bite me.

developers send pspgen their work to them so they can help find any bugs/glitches. Im sure the public and the developer would be happy if pspgen created a cfw 6.20 gen-A to work on all the devices, especially the pspgo/3000.

And yes, they actually do have the authority to validate a exploit/hack. And if you didnt realize it yet, TotalNoob himself decided to release the hen on Christmas Eve, not PSPGEN

The scene is dead because nothing more can be done -_- what else can be done with the PSP as old and dried-out as it is? NOTHING. Just little occasional titles people go nuts to play, which result in simple ISOTool updates, that's about it. When was the last MAJOR emulator update? When was the last decent Homebrew GAME release? What recent app DOESN'T suck? The scene is dead because ideas are dead.

As dead as it may be the DaedalusX64 people have continued to better their emulator so though its dying doesnt mean its dead yet

There only so much the PSP can do. Hell, N64 has yet to even go full-throttle on the PC!! Not saying it's impossible for perfect N64 emulation, PJ64 has been hard at work on v1.7 which should be their last, but expecting the PSP to handle such emulation will take years to perfect and execute. It'd be better to just make each game function as stand-alones than try to make an all-in-one.

Well.....just wait for the PSP2 to be hacked and i dont know maybe the PSP phone. But since it is a major rumor that all the major game sites (IGN, GameInformer,PS PGen etc, plus the people who make the Mortal Kombat latest games) are confirming the PSP2 is as fast as the PS3, or just slightly below the speed/graphics.

What does that mean? I dont know....maybe a PS2 emulator on the psp?!?!, daedalus could work at 99% speed, maybe even a Dreamcast emulator, and finally a Gamecube emulator

Sony is terrible at keeping secrets. The only guy in the gaming scene that can keep secrets and make an incredible title release is Kojima. That said, it's without doubt that there is a PSP2 and there is a PSPhone, they are not the same, however, they well could be, after all, why do a risky maneuver as to split the next-gen Sony portables into two fields? I suspect an iTouch/iPhone gimmick here... one concentrates on media (gaming) while the other concentrates on mobile applications (phone).

Gamecube/Dreamcast emulation is a bit much when you consider the power of the hardware needed to perform, not to mention the controls. If the next PSP is indeed based on touch like everything is turning into, then I believe there will be more attention on iTouch emulation than anything.

Do you hear yourself talking? WTF ARE you saying? You're the asshole dude, clearly you and 20 other people can't seem to admit the PSP is at it's end. There is nothing useful or engenious left to do with it. It is obsolete. You and those other morons would get it when Sony themselves have dumped the dev kits for it and are releasing something new. If you say this is not true and the PSP is far from obsolete, then you're saying that the Gameboy Advanced was high-tech and the DS was not required, but was a nice release. You're the asshole. Accept the f*ckin times, you and these other faithful devs. Times have changed, the scene is dead. There is nothing ground-breaking left with this unit. It was indeed a great portable and still is, but it's time is up. If it's not, prove me wrong. Don't use the HEN as proof either, it's not a CFW, it has no benefits over 5.00M33 OR 5.50 GEN except game compatibility which is already being done with Prometheus and ISOTool.

To return to our topic of the day, the 6.20-A TN (HEN) , he must know that Total_Noob So we just pass a new version that has debugged. This delay will have played its role and avoided a second release upgrade in less than 24 hours. We will test this new version all day and if everything still works well, it will be online tonight at midnight or twelve hours earlier than planned in order to please everyone.
