300: March to Glory and some Brokeback loving screens |
Ó
Despite the possibility of receiving some snide remarks, it takes guts to admit that seeing a phalanx of sweaty, heavy-weaponed, half-naked men on the battlefield has a certain "thrill" factor. Face it, the screens are just oozing with high-octane action - plus a dose of "Brokeback" appeal, for some.
Based on the movie of the same title, 300: March to Glory is set to be released this March by Collision Studios. The game will have you fighting as King Leonidas or, sometimes, allow you to control your entire phalanx of soldiers. With the Frank Miller storyline, the developers even thrust in the whole graphic novel-esque feel (much like Metal Gear Solid Digital Comic) whenever the game cuts into the storytelling parts.
The gameplay will have you hacking and slashing through hordes of Persian armies and a whole caboodle of raging animals. There'll be various weapons to choose from, each of which would have its own combat tactics.

no ones takin first this time..
Heh, almost funny. 300 looks cool to me though I'd like to see some boobs in it to balance out all the half naked male-ness.
He said brokeback because the Spartans were homosexual.
what the hell are you talking about. If they were homosexual how the hell did they get passed their first generation? Do you mean by-sexual cause if so most of the ancient greeks and romans were.
FIRST! OMG i got first!IM THE BEST. I pwned you all!
Why the hell where they naked if they're going to war? They should've been filled up with heavy armor like a viking.
The Norsemen (Vikings) generally didn't use metallic armor and often sprang into battle completely nude or wearing only a bear or wolf skin with the head still attached. this is also one of the origins of werewolves and shapeshifters as witnesses to the battle would report that half-man-half-beasts were among the Viking battle group. what they actually saw was a Norse Berzerker raging in battle wearing only an animal skin while using the animals hollowed out skull as a sort of helmet
most of the spartan (and any greek army) were homosexual. not the villagers but the army. this was encouraged in order to make sure they backed eachother up.
Where did you people go to college? Have none of you ever read a single history book that was not adulterated by politically correct revisionists? Have you never been to a museum? They fought almost naked and greased up so that the enemy could not grab hold of them. They also braided their hair and tied it around their heads so the enemy could not grab it. They were warriors not politicians so they were not afraid of women and did not care if women were smarter than they were. They let their women take care of business so that they could devote all of their time to training. Spartans hated Athenians, they called them boy lovers. So if you get your jollies thinking about them being homosexual, so be it, but don%u2019t state it as a fact.
I dont know why Gamespot did a preview on this game,is gonna suck.
seriously the spartans didnt need armour because they had a phalanx system that protected everyman with shields. they didnt need extra armour so they didnt use it
In ancient Sparta the Gymnopaedia was a yearly celebration during which naked youths displayed their athletic and martial skills through the medium of dancing. The custom was introduced early in the seventh century, concurrently with the introduction of naked athletics, oiling the body for exercise so as to highlight its beauty, and the formalization of pederastic pedagogy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gymnopaedia
lol Candide, you can't expect a bunch of 13 year olds to know about Spartans
