Yellow Dog Linux now available on public mirrors

A couple of weeks back, Yellow Dog version 6.0 was released with several features for your PlayStation 3. Now, the said software is available on several public mirrors.

If you're new to all of this, here's a bit of a primer. Yellow Dog Linux (YDL) is a free software from Terra Soft Solutions and it's based from the Fedora Core. Here are some notes from the official website:

Please note that while YDL is made available to the mirrors on this day, each mirror has its own update schedule, some syncing data every hour, others every few days. Terra Soft has no control over the speed at which YDL propogates to the public mirrors.

1st, it was easy enough to grab it online.

2nd, I can't install it normally (without using the text interface) since my tv is SD.

3rd, I don't wanna loose 2 hours of my time, backuping data, formating, installing through a text interface, installing some other compatibility stuff for the resolution fix, etc.

4th, I don't have a bluetooth keyboard&mouse and the sixaxis is not working on linux with bluetooth (I think), and I'm surely not using USB K&M!

5th, why install linux? The only reason I want this is for the emulators! Will I use hours of my time for some 2D emulators I run on my PC anyway, just to have it on TV? No. I'll plug my PC on my tv if that's I want, that would take minutes instead of hours.

Finally, I'll wait for an SD version, and if possible, a version that let us use the GPU (or let us tranform cell power into a simulated GPU) and the full RAM, so we can play PSX emulators :D.

I mean, it's not like we don't already own a computer, and mine is quite fast. My PS3 can already connect to my virtual server to play divx movies and tv episodes anyway, to why installing linux? I want it just so I have everything that can be installed (It's a disease I suppose), but I think I'll pass this time.

There we're public links since 2006. Geez, way old news. They are just NOW featured on Terra Soft. I mean literally over a hundred links.

Way to take the cake at the world records of being ultra slow at putting up news.
