im sure its all dependant on connection speed, he could be on dial up or something. the xbox downloads all its content in the background whilst its switched on so theres seems to be no loading time.

gotta agree to that... it simply depends on your connection speed and how many files(i.e. images) it has on a single page



this is like comparing two different person(you and me) using two different games(UT2k4 and CSSource) trying to connect to two different server(Titan Server and UKCS) with custom mods(mutators and maps)

My PS3 is Wireless Connected and its very fast, not like the Xbox360.. ~__~

Have you not noticed its people on the internet who claim this red light thing and who of course we cant see to prove that, so why is it so many people have brought the 360 surly they would of seen their friend, neighbors, family etc all returning their systems and would not of also brought one now would they. Wireless connections are rubbish dropouts etc, Cat 6 Super flat cable is 100% reliable and only a few $.

The 360 is faster its that simple, live with it, making excuses you are only kidding yourselves..

I have both systems and my ps3 loads just like that. I dont know if its becuase xbox loads with mostly text and not picture icons though. If thats the case id rather have just text showing in the download list for the ps3 to load faster

lol the processing power has nothing to do with the download speeds. The download speeds are based on your internet connection and the host's connection. Because the 360 has live which you have to pay for, Microsfoft have a much faster connection, as they need high standerds for something you have to pay for but get free on another consoles. Whereas Sony do not need such fast internet connections because it is free.

ive noticed that when u sign into xbox live its logs into the internet yeah.

when it logs into the internet on xbox it automaticaly downloads a quik list of the games available for marketplace n shiz.

the ps3 does it real time

does it on demand.

when its needed it does it there n then hence why it is slower.

it's not possible to be on dial up on the PS3, idk about the 360, but i know for sure, you MUST have a broadband connection to access the PSN. However, his connection is rather slow, i found my PS Store loads much faster than his.

I think that what really is important is that one is free and one is not!!!

So for Microsoft i just say that the beer money, that they say we are overpaying for the ps3, to use to pay xbox live!! Over a few years xbox becomes a really expensive toy!!! Sure its optional but at least ps3 we pay only one time to get the full content!!!!

gimme a break. that ps3 was on the slowest connection I've ever seen. Mine might take a few seconds on the blue/grey screen while it's bringing up the store, but all pictures are loaded at once. And I'm sitting on a crappy wireless / WIRELESS connection. So ***** it. I can make that same demo here, lol, and trust me the exbox 360 (that I'd have to borrow from someone stupid) would be the slow one.

Like every one else on here is saying the playstation store normally doesn't load that slow. I just connected and counted three seconds. And what 360 games would you be referring to? Another first person shooter with a five hour storyline or a wannabe gta with a seven hour storyline? At least the games on ps3 with online Resistance, Motorstorm and many more are actually playable online from day one(flawless, no lag) and you don't have to wait a month for a stupid patch to fix what should have been right the first time. LMFAO

The slowest thing ever. My Ps store loads in seconds. Xbox 360 uses some precaching system. so that you can access in seconds too. but generally it's slower. You can see that description takes more time to load. because that is the only info it's downloading. Also downloads are quicker on PS3.

VGcharts is highly innaccurate. Xbox is almost at 12 million, they announced 10.4 mil not too long ago. GL With innacurate info.

Mr. Nonsense you laughed about the Polish ps3 launch, I'm laughing that you cared enough to read it. You don't like the PS3, we get it. Go make posts about how much you love your 360. You own one right, yet all we hear is how bad the ps3 is. Nothing about how great the 360 is, Probably because they have the same number of grade a titles as the ps3, 1. But that's OK you get to pay for xbox live and I'm playing free, lag-free, 40-man battles on ps3.

I explain the 10.5 million people who own the 360 the same way xboys explain the 100 million ps2's that were sold, "They only sold so many because they are pieces of crap, people had to buy multiple copies." I can't say that I have had a problem with my 360 because, I don't have one. But I do have a PS3 that works fine. Looks like M$ has their own little "disc read error" situation on their hands, Xboys talked about that all the time. Now their system bricks itself and they won't admit it. That's called karma.
