Adding to the growing list of games previously exclusive to the PlayStation, Koei finally announced that their newest Shin Sangoku Musou title, Shin Sangoku Musou 5 (Dynasty Warriors 6 to us foreigners), will be released for the Xbox 360 as well. In addition, the PS3 and the Xbox 360 versions will be released simultaneously.

Previously, it was announced that Shin Sangoku Musou 5 would be a PlayStation 3 exclusive. Shin Sangoku Musou 5 will be out for both platforms in Japan later this fall, so fans of the epic historical series don't have to sit and twiddle their thumbs for much longer.

To whet your appetite for bloodshed in the meantime, you can check out the game's hot new trailer!

# they(xbox) won't play thisGuest 2007-08-03 23:17
they won't care about this at all. i don't think any fans are getting all jumping to have this. shh they only like fps games only instead. don't forget there systems will crash sooner or before the end (last game) halo game. don't buy the system its a scam with a 3 year warranty "suspicious company" instead of having a normal recall. tip you bought the the xbox broken and waste time, money, gas, and hunger just to get your refund with no enjoyment. lololololololll lolol its too much haggle

This is a japanese game. Why release on the 360? 5 people will buy it

# the point is...Guest 2007-08-04 03:56
that even those 5 ppl count. I mean, even though there are more ps3 in japan that 360, it is worth it from them to release it. With japanese 360 owners plus american and european 360 owners who might buy it they get a good ammount of money.

and another point is that they've lost another exclusive!! lol in ya face

Dynasty Warriors has been on the xbox too, so why is this even news. dynasty warriors 4 and 5 were on the xbox one so 6 on the 360 is not surprising. The game looks good too so I'm happy. Even though i will be getting this for the ps3, its good xbox owners get to play it too

Ooh man not another playstation made game going to xbox360. This game is fantastic, i loved the last game and they said it will never come to 360 they lie. I'm getting sick of this, XBOX is taking our games. Games that were made on playstation first. If the gaybox360 get MGS4 i will fuuckin kill the president of sony.

This was never announced as an exclusive in the first place. They simply annouced the PS3 version first.

I can't see how anyone can get excited about this game. DW series has got to be one of the worst series out there to date, why there are 6 sequels, i dunno.

I played the first 3 and thought of them to be innovative and fun but after that it's just gotten ridiculously repetitive with no new improvements what-so-ever.

Something new would be nice Koei...and i don't mean another re-hash like samurai warriors...

MGS4 coming to 360 is pretty much a fact to anyone who isnt up sonys butthole. 360 people wanna steal the exclusive, and konami wants to make as much profit as they can.

supply and demand, my retard, supply and demand.

Enchanted Arms is also on the PS3. Second What the ***** is Lost odyssey and Eternal Sonata. I've never heard of those games. Third this guy is right because japanese will buy the PS3 version over the 360 version any day of the week.

# I have a questionGuest 2007-08-04 11:25
Why are almost all games right now multiplatform? I mean I know that developing games has gotten more expensive but isn't that the reason why they cost 60 dollars now to cover up those expenses.

# well....Guest 2007-08-04 13:42
blue dragon sucks (see reviews), i've heard good things about sonata (thought i woudnt buy it personally), and lost odysseys is just a FF clone (not saying that its a bad clone... but a clone none the less). Still stucky has a point, seeing as the 360 has the least supporters in japan (but americans will gobble em up!!!)

I bet if Halo went multiplatform we would still see xbots claiming they stole a PS3 exclusive.

PS: Hate the comment all you want, its a joke, and it is damn funny.

# Why??Guest 2007-08-04 20:22
Do some math. Imagine it costs $20M to make a game initally. The game will sell on average to about 30% of the gaming audience. Pick your favorite console, we'll call it 3,000,000 consoles for convience.. That means a milliion copies sold if we give the developer a pretty generous return of 33% on each copy at $60 each, they just broke even.

Now after that think about porting the game.. You have all the assets done.. You know how everything is supposed to work, and you may even be able to reuse some code.. So cost to port the console we'll call $5M. If they have the same installed base, sell through, etc.. Then you just made $15M total..

Your return on investment for a port should almost always be higher than for the initial version. The most likely reason a company wouldn't do a port would be lack of funding, and even then it is a strong possiblity for any game which turns out to be profitable on one platform.

Later in the generation this can change, as households become multiplatform. IE: If everyone who owned a XBox also owns a PS2, then you might as well make it PS2 only because you compete with yourself and the return on the port would be very low.

# actually, overallGuest 2007-08-05 04:11
who cares anymore?

we are fed up!

we are tired!

we do not care if all ps3 titles also have 360 versions, heck have most games exclusive for 360 too.

i like my PS3.

i can use it as a Computer.

i can use it a Full High Def Media Player.

i can play GAMES i WANT.

i do not have fear of instantly losing my PS3 over some stupid red lights. warranties do not do it for me and millions of people. few weeks of no console? eat my shorts dummies.

screw these console wars.

btw this game is 50/50 on my list i may not buy this coz there will be lots of better titles, like that DW Gundam!
