DIRT: Colin McRae Off-Road

Codemasters today announced that they've signed a non-exclusive deal with pro racer Travis Pastrana. Pastrana, the star of this year's summer X Games and the winner of the first ever X Games Rally event, will feature in their upcoming racer DIRT: Colin McRae Off-Road.

Sayeth Pastrana: "IÂ’ve admired Colin McRae for a long time and the McRae games have an incredible reputation as the best in their field. ItÂ’s very cool to now be directly involved in the production of DIRT: Colin McRae Off-Road and to be able to share my enthusiasm for rallying and off-road racing with gamers."

Pastrana will be doing the voice for the pre-competition presenter and will introduce players to specific stages and car characteristics. He'll also be the guy who congratulates players on achieving victory and informing them of the tougher challenges ahead.

DIRT: Colin McRae Off-Road is the next-gen installment in the 8-million+ selling racing series, promising all the intensity and exhilaration of off-road racing at its best. It is now being developed for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC and is set for release sometime next year. For a sneak peek, check out these shots.
