Publisher Activision has confirmed that Raven Software's Wolfenstein will not be meeting its August 4 launch. Instead, the game's has been pushed back by two weeks, giving Nazis some extra time before B.J. Blazkowicz starts hunting them down.

"In order to facilitate a simultaneous global release window for id Software's Wolfenstein, Activision has realigned the game's release date for the week beginning August 17th," says the official announcement from Activision.

The delay goes for all three versions -- PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 -- of the game. Meanwhile, id Software has promised exclusive looks at Wolfenstein during QuakeCon, which is scheduled for August 13 to 16.
