The head programmer or designer or somebody who is important at crytek stated that Cryengine 2 is liscensable on any platform and is desired to be the best engine... for at least a while. So I would guess it is just for that, considering that there is only one job discription that relates to PS3. But here's still hoping

Im guessing they will do a technical demo - screw the gameplay etc, just to see how far the cell can go. Afterall Crytek have managed to pitch themselves as one of the best companies for showing off new technology. With one of the first games to use HDRI.

It'll mosh likey come to ps3 and xbox360. Duh the ps3 verison will look better, more detailed, sharper, better in all ways comepared to the gay pc/xbox360 verison. This game i would not even call it a first gen next gen game for ps3. It just a high end pc game annd will play/look better on ps3. I seen better looking games on ps3 from last yrs. e3 (2005 e3) and this yr. e3 and other game pictures/videos of ps3 games beating this one by far. But yeah I hope it comes to ps3 it might turn out to be a good game just not a next gen game as in a ps3 next gen game but stll looks really good.

^^^^^^ Yours so full of it Fanboy; people that write comments such as yours (#7) are either very young, or very miss informed. FFS, the system isnt even out yet. Ps3/PC/and 360 versions will all be on par with each other. The playable PS3 demos @ E3 didnt look nearly as good as any video they released last year. Heck the cell processor hasnt even proven itself yet. Except it has proved to be very difficult to develop on. And heres a fact for every fanboy out there. Every multi platform game will look very similar if not identical on each platform. They are not going to retool a game just for a specific console. Its about making money. A good example of this is the xbox/ps2 games; and all the console games ported to PC.

@8 OK!!!! But remember that textures for the PC version and PS3 will have the ability to "look better" - why? Because PC Games are installed, so cab compression can be used on the textures. The PS3 has plenty of disc space, so textures dont have to be compressed. The 360 is limited on space, and without HDD Space they cant use archived compression. They can only use Jpeg, PNG or Tiff compression. While good, there is a trade off in size and texture clarity. Dont get me wrong, i think 7gb of space is plenty at the moment. However 700mb was plenty when the ps2 first came out.

RSX is better then any gpu/video card out there and we got Cell that better then any pcu out there. I know both RSX/Cell inside and out besides the finally specs of RSX that will be higher and you will find out why it so much better then anything out there soon. It mosh likey have 7 or so spes in it that can read/write/send info. to the Cell spes same as the Cell spes can do to the RSX spes. Also Cell is better in some ways then a video card/gpu and since Cell can make it own graphics and alot of stuff for game makeing like graphics etc. the spes can be use for Cell also can do ray tracking/raycasting very good and way better then a gpu/video card does it. Since both RSX and Cell work together this makes it even better and since I beileve there are spes in RSX this would give a load off of the main core in RSX the g70 core so it can do what it suppose to do. So the spes can do the other stuff and same as above what I said what it can do with the Cell spes etc.. PS3 is the best in graphics, speed, and power. Well yeah some pcs have more memory and other stuff tho. PS3 will be the best for graphics etc. for a long time. Consoles are faster and games will look better on a console then a pc bc alot of pc games not made for just one video card or the best video card... they pick whatever vide3o card and stuff. And with the PS3 all the games will be made and use by RSX and Cell. Also every game we seen so far as in videos/pictures of realtime and real gameplay footage of ps3 games... just wait till 2 to 4 or more yrs. from now and the games will look way better then any vidoe game your seeing right now. Right now alot of PS3 games beat the crap out of xbox360 games for graphics and ps3 have better games anyways and PS3 games for graphics are better looking then any pc game out right now. What we see right now is first gen next gen games for PS3 just wait till a yr. or mroe when they look even way better. PS3 is more like 4d... as in getting cgi in realtime. The game are getting more life like as in planting a tree and it grows when wattered in realtime and all kinds of things like rain drops hit the ground one rain drop breaks in to mulit little rain drops or running down someone cloths or face. Everything getting mroe real life movement or gun shooting etc.. The only game on pc that looks really good right now i would have to go with crysis and if they do put that game on ps3/xbox360 it will look best on ps3 then the two others. PCs might get better down the road but PS3 is no.1 right now and I beileve it gonna stay that way for a long time, lol. If you knew all that I knew about Cell and other stuff in it and all that I know about PS3 you owuld be same as I am bc I dont make up lies or anything I tell it how it is and PS3 is no.1 right now and will be for a long time. Also PS3 have all the fun and good games and I cant wait to buy the right hdtv for it. I'll prolly get a sharp 20 inch 16/9 ratio and smaller the tv better the picture bc smaller pixels etc.. It'll be a 720p display and thats really 768p and have more pixels then a 1080p display. Besides if the game is only in 720p on a 1080p display it have to be upconverted to 1080p and that is a bad thing. Also it a bigger screen it ownt look as good as a smaller screen lol. And the higher it gos like 1080p you lose color the picturej ust gets sharpper tho. But really it already really sharp or duh I would say sharpper on a smaller screen display that does 720p. Right now Sharp looks like the way to go. But I am gonna wait till the 2007 Sharp hdtvs come out. Sharp hdtvs got 6ms respone time right now and that really good but I want 1ms respone time lol but 2007 will prolly have 4ms or I hope 2 ms but that prolly wont happen till 2008 and I cant wait that long lol. Wish they have 1ms on Sharp hdtvs lol.

I meant to say Cell is better then any cpu. Altho there makeing new or sould I say updated Cells. But the one in PS3 is perfect and made for gameing. PS3 is best of the best right now and I bet it can make cgi into realtime 3d graphics. I even see realtime gameplay footage of some PS3 games that look WAY better then cgi already. For how PS3 games look now it really oging to be outstanding to see how WAY WAY WAY better there gonna look down the road. Then PS4 and PS5 etc. lol.

Dual 1300x are more powerful than the PS3's RSX which is on par with an underclocked 7900GTX the 360 encorporates a VPU that is on par with the RSX and is really a 1900x with advanced vector shading technology. no, the PS3 is NOT that much more powerful than the PC/360, its just sony saying it is.

You dumba$$ when you see rsx final specs you'll see it better then any video card or gpu ever and Cell can do it own graphics and works with the RSX so PS3 beats pcs and *****got low powered gay graphics xbox360. Not a thing can beat PS3 in graphics or anything else for a long long long long long time.
