Rumor has it that Sony's been developing their own motion sensing
remote for the PlayStation 3. According to one of Kombo's sources who "has a superb track record for accuracy," the remote is already finished and Sony's looking for third-party publishers to support it in their games.
The source doesn't give any details on how this not-Wiimote will actually function. Will it have the same sensitivity, or will it be enhanced? Will it support SIXAXIS games? Will it serve as the replacement of the SIXAXIS? No idea.
He does say though, that this not-Wiimote will not become the new standard for PS3 games, but will just be an added option. Confirmation of the rumor is expected this E3, as well as a list of compatible titles.

PS2 price has come down, games are still being developed for it, and Wii is basically a PS2 with motion sensing.
Sony could effectively release a cheaper to produce Wii, execpt have games actually worth playing to the males older than 12.

Then, you allow me the ability to text-chat in 3 separate rooms with up to 256 people at once while I'm getting my face burned off with a flamethrower.
Now, you expect me to go out and buy a Wii-can't-come-up-with-anything-good-Mote to use on some crappy PSN games?
Alright Sony, I guess you think every day is April's Fools or something. I'd go buy a 360 but I actually value my house. My house and fire doesn't mix together.

considering i used to use a logitech tilt sensor gamepad on pc for star wars: rouge squadron
and in a way, arent all gamepads just knockoffs of the original gamepad?
since all they are is a plasic casing with a controller and buttons
some have more buttons but this still doesnt stop the concept being the same
the wiimote is hardly a thing of envy anyway, in alot of games its grossly inaccurate.
if sony get a motion activated controller that works properly and is better designed than the wiimote
then good on them
