At first glance, Devil May Cry and SOCOM seems to have no relation with each other. The first one is an action video game that was developed by Capcom, while the latter, on the other hand, is a third-person shooter from Zipper Interactive. From the genre to the developer - the two are not connected in anyway imaginable. Wrong.Apparently, one reader from the gaming site PSP Extreme managed to get some details about the two video games, and according to the reader, Devil May Cry and a new version of SOCOM will be gracing our PlayStation Portable (PSP) units soon, plus SOCOM will also be appearing on the PlayStation 3 (PS3).
The reader claims that he is working for the retail chain Game Crazy and saw that Devil May Cry popped up in his company's PSP list. Furthermore, two new SOCOM titles have been listed as well: SOCOM Competition for the PS3 and SOCOM Tactics for PSP. As much as these sound great, Zipper and Capcom, or Sony for that matter, are yet to comment on these rumors.
We tried heading over to Game Crazy's online store, but found nothing that could confirm these titles. Meanwhile, We'll be on the look out for more updates about these games in the coming days.

Socom: competition - now either thats an online focused game or the articles fake because that has to be the lamest name ever.
SOCOM rocks!!! One of the best an finest game online out there. I been waiting for a game I like to be released on PS3. DMC will be a great game on PSP especially if it’s a whole new story and not a chopped up version of the original.
They both are great games with great graphics and game play. Just don%u2019t buy DMC if you don%u2019t like it.

i wonder how long before the new socom gets hacked. well it doesnt matter too me becuase i'm not buying it unless zippper does something to stop the hacker.

I remember last year, at the DMC psp board on gamefaqs, someone actually linked to capcom jp site, and there was an upcoming title with something like DMC??????????PSP??????

your not missing much though. the hackers have destroyed the U.S. version. i'm sure they will do the same with the Europian version.
mate thats coz of the ps2 servers. ps3 servers r much better. no lag or cheat so far

you obviously haven't played resistance online. sure, the lag is a lot less noticable than on the ps2(even though the occasional lagger can be seen jumping across the screen), but there are loads of cheats.
SOCOM for ps3 is going to be crazy bigger,better, come on Socom is going to kick ass! Socom is going to help sony by getting a lot of players online!
I do know that the DMC game for the PSP is real check out Gamespot and they have a listing for it but not much info. As for the other two games. IGN had a listing for a Socom game on the PS3. Plus Socom really would be one great game on the PS3.

mate i bought my ps3 back in nov and i live in the uk and i use 2 play rfom on the hk server on my 1mb connection lag free
even in a full 40p room and there wasnt no lag
the only thing i saw was glithing and that was minor
if u can c lag u need 2 sort your internet out and not use your pc or contact your isp or move isp
Why is anyone acting so surprised about Devil May Cry PSP? Capcom already OFFICIALLY announced it back in 2004 (just look at IGN for news for it). Of course they've been so quiet about it that you could've thought if they even worked on the game anymore. Still, if this is true it seems like Capcom might finally be going to show something from the game. Maybe it'll be one of those "revealments" Capcom will supposedly have at their Gamer's Day (whenever it's held)
I owned the domain name www.socomtactics.com, about a month ago I was contacted and the domain name was purchased from me for a rather large sum of money via a private buyer. I can safely say they title is at least guaranteed to be a 100% real game. They have not however relinked the domain to their site and still directs to my old domain.
Now I have two reasons to love my PSP even more and those are DMC & SH:Origins.I want RE too.
Someone at PSU posted about SOCOM: Competition...it was deemed fake, but then again, it was for GameStop, and not Game Crazy...
Since it's two different stores...who knows...
hopefully ohg and tsh (socom hacking people) wont release hacks for this versoin. now i do hack , but not in raked rooms or clan wars...but it makes me mad when ppl do...like last night. i was in a clan war with my clan...and all of us got booted because of the taunt=boot cheat...........grrrrrr
socom 4 will be the best game ever dont be pissed cause you sucked at socom 2 and couldnt play without mods ur just mad the cheats will be taken out
If there is a new Socom for PSP I'll have all the codes hacked and released the first day the game comes out.
