In their interview with Russell, Empire asked if he would like Amy Adams to play the part. You know, the real-life Disney princess that gets small animals and insects to do her bidding.
While he's open to the thought, he has another actress in mind. "Oh I would love that too, I love Amy," he said. "I also love Scarlett Johansson; there's a lot of great actors I think might suit. Hopefully, we'll see how it works out with everybody who are being scoped to do that role…"
If you ask around the internet, quite a few folks want Emily Rose, the voice actress for Elena, to assume the role in the movie.

i don't want scarlett for that role, but hey, if the movie sucks, at least she's eye candy. kinda like how christie worked out for that tekken movie

You don't cast a voice actor in a movie role, do you have any idea how much a disaster that would be, then again crappy inexperienced actors who no one has ever heard of get picked all the time for video game movies, but they can do better than that. This movie is doomed though, plain and simple. If you're a fan of a game franchise, and you hear that a movie is being released you might as well go cry right away because there is no hope for it. the only halfway decent game movie to come out has been Hitman and they still screwed up alot of story elements. ...Tekken was extremely disappointing..you can't cast the wierdo who played Shang Sung in MK to be Heihachi, they were on crack...and not the good kind.
