When the PS3 meets Call of Duty 3 at Gamer's Day

Sparks fly. Probably from all the tracer rounds hitting this broke-down Sherman I'm hiding behind. BTW, I'm not playing the game at Gamers' Day in San Francisco, just making small talk, create some atmosphere-like.

Okay, on to the meat. We've earlier brought you guys the launch trailer for Call of Duty 3 on the Xbox 360 and Wii, as well as the PS3. But since Gamers' Day is but a couple of days behind us, we have an additional care package airdropped by Activision. It's the Call of Duty PS3 Gamers' Day special trailer!

"What modern combat lacks in humanity, it makes up for in intensity." How intense? Try this: we can't simply settle for the YouTube upload of this trailer. We've got to include the trailer as a downloadable for you to look at from a closer, definitely-NOT-low-res perspective of the action.

We expect Call of Duty 3, being multi-platform, to deliver similar or at least comparable gameplay experiences whatever the game's running off. At the same time, we're guessing it wouldn't be wise of Activision to ignore the "special advantages" each console or platform holds for the game. See for yourself (uploaded by La Trifuerza).

Activision is using each platform's specific capabilities; the Wii version is controlled using motion sensing. I don't know if there will be any differences between the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, but I'd imagine the PS3 version will have slightly better graphics while the Xbox 360 version will have slightly better online play.

"the Xbox 360 version will have slightly better online play."

Gryff33 - What is your basis on that?

Have you been spending your free hours beta testing Sony's PS3 network servers?

I looks like this game lacks the "intensity" that R:FOM and even the new Gears of War. I kinda hope its the end for this series.

No, and niether have you. But that's not even relevant; I was making a guess based on what's commonly considered (at least from what I can see) the major standout feature of each console. My point was that Activision is already utilizing the Wii's specific features, and they'll probably do the same for the other consoles. It wasn't meant to criticise the PS3's web service or the Xbox 360's graphics; in fact, I didn't say anything negative about anything at all. You have no reason to get so agitated over it.

Also if you're going to quote me, don't make it misleading. I said I'D IMAGINE the PS3 version would have slighty better graphics and the 360 version would have slightly better online play.

been playin since the original on pc, and since my comp is outddated now, the ps3 is obviously my next step. The graphics could be better, as ea has had about a year to incorporate a new engine, but whatever.at least they got it done.
