What's in a name? BioShock 2 really just BioShock 2, "Sea of Dreams" won't make final cut

BioShock 2 - Image 1Confusion on top of confusion on top of confusion. Let's hope this is the final clarification we have on BioShock 2's title.

A few weeks back, we had a report that the sequel dropped the whole "Sea of Dreams" as a subtitle. A few days after that, 2K reaffirrmed that people just confused things and that they will indeed have Sea of Dreams as the subtitle. Today, we're back to BioShock 2 - and just BioShock 2.

Talking to IGN, 2K Games spokesman Charlie Sinhaseni said:

We name most of our trailers at 2K and the name of the teaser trailer we released last October for BioShock 2  (Xbox 360, PS3) is called "Sea of Dreams". There was talk about adding that as an official subtitle, but we decided to simply keep it BioShock 2. We're sorry for the confusion, but we're glad people are so interested.

Ah, what's in a name (or sub-name, in this case) anyway? It's got a big daddy and that's enough to make it smell like the same rose. Can we now end this cycle of name conventions and get back to actual updates about the game, 2K?

.

They don't need interest and hype. BioShock 1 already captured the entire planet, and they're still known for the old System Shock games as well. They got this.
