Weekend Slowdown: The PS3 Elite video

Some people say that the Xbox 360 Elite is Microsoft's answer to Sony's high-end threat with its PlayStation 3 console. Still, others argue that it's a completely different thing. Whatever the case, wouldn't it be funny if Sony was to come up with its own remodeled console? That's exactly what some guys thought when they created this spoof called "PS3 Elite" which can be viewed in Youtube.

A word of warning, though: If you're a PS3 die-hard and you hate hearing jokes about it, this might ruin your day. If you don't like a bit of profanity in your viewing diet, this one will turn you off. If you can take a little of both, this one shouldn't be a problem. Check it out:

The satirical references made in the video actually pertain to both the PS3 and the Xbox 360. Everything from the finish, the controllers the heat issues and the high price point was clipped in the video. The presentation has been on YouTube for a while, so you might have seen it somewhere before. But for those who haven't we took the liberty of posting it.

On a more serious note, this video may be a parody fan's cup of tea, but it does give us something to think about. It jabs at some of the things that console manufacturers can improve on to satisfy their crowds. We think both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 are great machines, and the competition between them can only be good for the game community as a whole. As long as both Sony and Microsoft have that fire in their bellies to be on top, that should mean a continuous push to improve their wares and to make better games for us. You can always love what you have and not hate what you don't, right?

I thought this was supposed to be funny. Is this the best a PS3 spoof can do? Overheat....boy, the irony of that one since the PS3 does not overheat and the crap60 does.

Let us see if someone can come up with a really funny PS3 spoof.

Did not Sony provide us with more than enough material?

This spoof was as good as Dubya is at being President.

are you really that f**king dumb that you didnt get it and thought your precious ps3 was getting more of a bashing, it was about both consoles you dumb pr*k! a nice white cover that will get dirty quickly..... when did the ps3 EVER have a white cover? (oh yeah not until 5 months time when they release the 'white edition' like they did with the psp)

and i wanna point out that although i own a 360 im not a 360 fanboy, my best mate has a ps3 (i cant afford the price at the moment) and i have to say resistance - fall of man is great! the ps3 does look nice and polished and im sure will do great things when more games are released!

i have something to be very proud of about my PS3. it never hangs, never overheats and never have RROD/BSOD. and PSN is great specially all the starter pack / game demos.
