Sony may be continuing on with their all-out war against PS Jailbreak, but it might be just a tad bit too late for them. Now that the code's been spread out into the wild, it's just been a free-for-all buffet for all hackers alike. Just check out this videos of the PS3 being hacked by mobile phones and calculators.

Yes, by mobile phones and calculators. Specifically, Palm Pre, Nokia n900 and TI-84 Plus. You know your console's in trouble when a calculator hacks it. Let's see what Sony does in response to this.

Why? piracy helps these companies more than you realise, they know it too
the reason they make out like its such a bad thing is because two things

1,if they didn't make out like its the end of the world everyone would do it and then for them it would be

2,Some people (shareholders etc) cant see past the money and consider every seed and leech a - would've payed if this internet thing didn't exist - customer
which is just complete bollocks.

I mean look at the shitbox, its been hacked practically since its release, it didn't do to bad. the wii same thing and now the ps3 has been opened up whats the betting that the hardware sales go up?
I know of people that refused to buy a ps3 untill it was hacked

Also another thing to think about is most good games are multiplatform and avilable on a hacked system and a (up till now) non-hacked system, which platform did those games sell the most copies on?

Personally I dont really give a shit and made all that crap up as I went along, devils advocate and all that.

with it being soooo easy to hack I say it will take over 360 sales very very fast. I am thinking of keeping my 60gb for psfreedom purposes and getting either another 60gb or a slim

I would love the idea of being able to back up my ps2/ps3 games to the hard disk

All just shows Sony's piss poor software skills, i mean every single Sony console can be soft modded. Ps1- disk swap, Ps2- FMCB, Ps3- Psjailbreak, Psp- Tiff exploits. And even though MS f*cked up a bit with drive hacking you still have to lose your warranty to do it, Sony has some serious lessons to learn for Ps4&Psp2, and if they do learn it's bad news for us.

any one who have no updated console have a tresor now and should keep it for future community homebrew reelase

on the field :

- Dreamcast emulator
- ps2 emulator
- huge retro emulators
- update faker
- and a i expect a new dashboard
- and many crazy stufs who run on full speed whith the ps3 6 cores .

I think a lot of 360 fanboys have already quietly gone out to buy a Ps3 and hope no-one notices as they slowly switch sides, and i can just imagine if the 360 can hack the Ps3 that the 360 fanboys are already preparing a photoshopped image of a 360 and Ps3 connected together with a Scorpion spear to the usb ports on a Mortal Kombat background with K.O. over the Ps3.

I play 360 more, like the games more, but I like all the exclusive sony games more than exclusive 360 games. I always had a ps3 but yeah, I could see this happening and I wouldn't be surprised. lol.

I always loved the technology of T.I. calculators they are always 2 steps ahead of others. Innovative, when i was a child and i had no use of calculators even then T.I. calculators were my fantasy (I love mathe)

I think this will increase the sales of the ps3 I mean after all many people wouldnt be willing to buy the ps3 for the fact that it can only run original games( and thus driving them towards xbox and wii) but on the other hand it will lose sales on games.
(I say this because I live in a country where original games are a rare breed that is hard for most people to get and afford) also people who have focused on buying games for one console go go and invest in a second one without having to buy a library of games.

they should add some kind of obligatory update with the ps move that would remove the hacking.

just saying its not all bad.

it already can run backups i hacked my os3 with my ti84 calculator and installed the backup manager it works perfectly. You just have to download a modded version of the hack which is easily found online

I'll tell you what happened: Sony pissed off the Linux guys when they removed the OtherOS feature, and they came back with a vengeance. I hope this makes Sony lose lots of money with the shady ways in which they handle their business. ALTHOUGH, it will probably help sell more hardware. I bought a used one for $50 (a FAT one too, just didn't come with any controllers), so Sony didn't get my money.

It is not a matter of performance. Every motherboard is built to serve as a USB Host, not as a hub or a client. So I assume you would need a custom driver for USB-stack + custom hardware to relay, because AFAIK the USB protocols low-level layers are pretty hard-coded into standard USB controllers.ps jailbreak
