Composer Wataru Hokoyama - Image 1Does the name Wataru Hokoyama ring a bell? It might, considering he's a Japanese composer based in Los Angeles. Mr. Hokoyama was responsible  for composing the original musical score of  several Emmy-award winning films. He's also the composer who will be working on the orchestration for Sony Computer Entertainment's upcoming game, Afrika.

Despite the dearth of information regarding the development of Sony's Afrika, it has been confirmed that Hokoyama-san has recently hired a 104-piece orchestra to help prepare the musical score for Afrika.

It will indeed be interesting to see hear what the final arrangement of Mr. Hokoyama's symphonic background music will eventually be like, as Hokoyama has reportedly never worked on video games prior to Sony's Afrika project.

Unfortunately, that's all the current info we have on Afrika. Don't worry, we'll let you know once something new comes up.
