Warhawk Update v1.1 on the way

As good a game as the multiplayer-only title Warhawk from Incognito Entertainment is, it had its issues in the past with the experiences with some users. Stats tracking has been a bit off and connection problems have persisted. SCE has heard the pleas of their fans and are working on a fix for this woes.

Posting a message recently on the US PlayStation blogs, SCE revealed that Warhawk v1.1 is already on the way and it should address all the problems which have so far been identified. The update will come in two parts to ensure that all turns out well.

The first part will be a client update which means you won't have to download an update because the fixes will remain exclusive to the SCE servers. The other part is the client-end update which will have users download a patch and install it to complete the job. Here's what to expect from the two updates with respect to their particular ends:

Server-side updates:

Stat database stability improvements
Improved server stability
Max Clan limit changed from 32 to 64
Viral Rank-up bug fixed and correct for players that were accidentally ranked up.

Client-side updates for Warhawk Patch v1.1:

Stat connection, fetch/post fixes
Significantly improved client connection stability
Quad Â“????Â” Ping display bug fixed.
Added support for Player-Ranked Servers.
Game synchronization fixes due to fluctuating network conditions (packet-drop).
Crash fixes for end of game and split screen.
Time-in-Vehicle Stats fixed so certain awards can now be granted properly.

That is a very good thing. Think of a noob player who got ranked up to some super high rank and now is forced to play with the best of the best get owned day in day out.

Or think of that team member you have that you find so bad you wonder how even got to being in the same server as you.

That is why even a demotion is still a good thing and will just help the game to better match making and such.

well i have had warhawk for about a month and a half now but i was in the beta *cough* PROXY *cough* and i was quite good at it then, and im a "commander" in warhawk now so does this mean that i have gotten to that rank by accident and i will be demoted?

just for future reference, if anyone wants a one on one, i'll gladly own any of you muhahahha

I'm pretty sure the rank fix is not that complex. Due to the bug, you probably have a high rank but your actual amount of points established for playing hasn't changed. If you go and look at your personal stats and your total game points, the ribbons earned and badges, you'll see where you are supposed to be at. They aren't taking points away. You don't just magically acquire 1000's of points from the bug. I know that I managed to jump about 3 ranks one day when I logged on. I was a Sergent. I didn't know how but I checked out my stats and my points all added up. It just hadn't notified me. I know I play better than a Sergent, I should be higher but because of the messed up stats tracking i'm still a Sergent today. I play this daily for hours people. If you hardly ever play and suddenly you are a commander, then yea you probably are going to get demoted.

hopefully this will actually fix everything, the last "fix" didn't help me, and this game is like crack for me, the 1 in 30 rounds i can actually join are amazing

Even though its old, they could brink back that airship looking thing as the droper (cause warhawks respawn on those things and vehicles)
