For some time, rumors persisted that Warhawk, a high-profile, promising game for the PS3, was cancelled. It all rooted from an anonymous tip that supposedly came straight from someone from SonyComputer Entertainmentand appeared on a news bit from RumorReporter.
The tip just mentioned that a certain game for the PS3 is cancelled. The game was never revealed but the Game-Ages message boards got hold of the rumor and they pinned a title to it: Warhawk. Several other sites posted about Warhawk being cancelled, and before you know it, the news spread like wild fire.
So what's the real deal, you ask? The PS3 port of the high-flying action game is definitely coming out. It's just experiencing some...turbulence. And as far as Sony can estimate, fans will have to wait up to June 2007.
Oh, and have you heard that Warhawk may come out as a PS download? Well, there's a high chance that is not true either.

for Europe. What about the NA release date. Incognito made his game, which is a NA developer, not a European one.
As an "Arcade" game, or a PSP download, would freaking rock....
They will get me to update my firmware once I don't need a PS3 to get PSP games....
What he mean by port, i thought this was an exclusive game to PS3... Am i wrong?
this was a ps1 games so they remade it for the ps3 but better
because they kept the same name as the original...shoulda called it Exciting Warhawk or something...
Or maybe they should of called it Warhawk PS1 recolored.
you can already put the ps1 warhawk on your psp without using Sony's updated firmware.
What a great name.
They should have named it something like how Nintendo named Super Mario 64 DS.
Same game, same name. (But Warhawk is fundamentally different.)
