Tau Crater revealed - Image 1Over on the official PlayStation Blog, Dylan Jobe revealed more info about the upcoming expansion to Warhawk, entitiled Operation: Fallen Star. According to Jobe, this update will come with tons of new content, with a good bit of it accommodating the new jetpack.

Notes Jobe in his update,

In total there are 10 new layouts for Tau Crater and since the jetpack is a massive, game-changing addition to Warhawk, we included a crap-ton of bonus layouts for the original game too - there are 30 bonus layouts that add jetpacks into the WarhawkÂ’s original content.

The Fallen Star expansion will be available on August 28 worldwide, and will set you back US$ 7.99.

In related news, Jobe also announced the coming of a Booster Combo Pack , a bundled expansion pack that includes all three expansions, presumably to allow newcomers to get all the content for cheaper and in one purchase. The new Booster Combo Pack includes all 3 of the expansions for only US$ 15.99, though a release date hasn't been announced. Presumably though, you can expect it at around the same time the Fallen Star update goes live.

Lastly, folks should remember to pick up the v1.5 update, which will come out on August 27.

In any event, that's a whole lot of Warhawk for one update. Feel free to check out the sourced link below for additional information on Operation: Fallen Star, and keep checking QJ for more updates as they become available.

Yeah this update looks amazing! It's going to be a whole different game after this one! I love how Incognito supports a game after almost a year. And I love how I can play it now and it still feels like a new game!

How I'm more excited about in-game music being put into the game rather than the jet-packs and the map.

» Yeah

Its actually rather rare for devs to support a game THIS much. Burnout Paradise and rockband are prob the only other that even come close.
