Well, ready to play with the big boys? Sega of America had just announced the release of Virtua Tennis 3 on the PS3 and Xbox360 to North America retailers.We'll give you a quick overview of Virtua Tennis 3 - just in case you've been living under a rock the past few months. Players can play as or against their favorite tennis players like Maria Sharapova, Andy Roddick, Venus Williams, Roger Federer, and 16 others to be hailed number one. It boasts of better graphics, player animations that mimic real life mannerisms of the pros, and an improved AI.
Of course, what's a Virtua Tennis title without the mini-games? Two favorites stay with an addition of 10 new mini-games plus it also features four player head-to-head battles. The World Tour mode (sporting new features) and the new addition of the Tennis Academy will immerse players in the world of tennis and going up the ladder.
Anyway, PSP owners need not fret since the PSP version of Virtua Tennis 3 will be available on March 26.

I only played the Dreamcast version but what console did VT2 come out for? I some how missed it. The origianl one for the Dreamcast was fun though. Spent many hours playing multiplayer matches and or the minigames.
I have tired the demo and didn't really like it at first but it kinda grew on me. I might have to give Top Spin 2 another try and see which one I like better.
thanks, sony, for dragging your feet back in september when this game was being coded. i know 3 other people who would have bought this game if it had an online component, but alas, they announced back then that sony had not given the developers the info they needed to incorporate online into the game.
i love my ps3, but that chicken came home to roost. boy i am angry about that.
i had virua tennis 2 on ps2 and i loved it but now its on xbox 360 amaging it tennis in hd !! and i hope theres a tournament where ur in wimbledon?
Strange how it has no Online same as Virual Fighter 5(yet the 360 has) I wonder if the PS3 has some sort of problems with these type of games online ? or could it be that being a free service its not up to the job?.
is it coming out on ps2?????
because it will be so good if it does especially when i don't want to go and buy a whole new console
