Virtua Fighter 5: 3 Gameplay Videos |
Ó
The difference between trailers and in-game video is like comparing the music quality of a Cassette Tape to a CD. The trailer shows a good film, but the in-game video really gives the goods of what the game will be. Last time, we gave you some screenshots and a trailer. Now you're going to see the gameplay itself.
We just noticed that they have this green glowing thing on their wrists. We're wondering if those are glow in the sun wrist bands or something. They seem to be more of a distraction than anything else. More focused and experienced players may not mind, but for others, it might be just a bit too flashy. Other than that, the graphics look fluid and smooth, the background looks beautiful and breath-taking, the action is intense. Button-mashers will just adore this game.
Get ready for some eye candy because here come the videos!

...are a customizable option (an item that can be bought with the game's currency/"fight money") or something similar to the "flash" option from Evo.
In any case, both can probably be toggled off.
The game looks great so far. Hopefully some high rez videos will be released soon.

The girl from gameplay one is such a rip off of Ling Xiaoyu from Tekken. She has really similar moves and even has the glowing wrist band to complete it.
O shizzle, I clicked the wrong comment button. The comment is meant for the Virtual Fighter blog. Just ignore my previous comment.
Comment 6 is meant for the blog that I accidentally posted number 5 on. Just ignore number 6.
Hey Fin the character that is a "rip-off" from Xiaoyu is Pai and she's been in Virtua Fighter since the first arcade VF (in 1993 according to Wikipedia) and the one that launched with the Saturn (95 in the US). If I'm not mistaken Xiaoyu first made an appearance in Tekken 3. She even had a hat you could knock off. Pretty impressive in '95. BTW I like Tekken more than VF, but I do like VF, and I repect what it's done for fighting games.
