VidZone, the free online music video service for the PS3 will be expanding to 11 new countries in Europe this month.

The Netherlands, Portugal and Austria will be able to download and access the service from November 23. Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland will gain access on December 3 while Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and New Zealand can try it out on December 10.

Unfortunately for all of us in America, this free music video streaming service isn't coming our way any time soon.

I'm amazed that Portugal is one of the first on that list. Considering we have been so mistreated on having these goodies... I'm impressed we haven't been left for last, as always. But anyways, considering lots of other countries in Europe have had it for a while now, once again I fail to see a reasonable motive for the delay (copyright issues, some might say, but read on).

I'll give you an example of how Portuguese (and other countries, but I speak of what I know best) have been mistreated on some little details, but that are so annoying and you can't really understand why: Fallout 3 DLC has been released on Portuguese PSN store... last Thursday!

Now, you'll be wondering "hey, if it needed localization, it's a natural thing it took so long". Well, most games released in Portugal aren't localized (with notable exceptions like a few Sony 1st party produced games), they are the exact same versions as the UK! Fallout 3 disc code is the same: BLES-00333, so if you opened a UK account and downloaded the packs, they worked (yeah I know one could do it, but that's not the point here). Most amazingly, Spanish localized DLC was released first... now explain to me: why delay this release on Portuguese store, since they had the product ready for months and even released it elsewhere? So Spanish people could have it first or else they'd be angry? We haven't been at war for quite some centuries, so I don't think they would invade us nowadays if we had something first, but who knows! :P

Sorry for the long text, but I had to let it go.

You clearly don't notice the pain we go through. When we have PSN updates demos don't get added and things like 3 quid themes do....While the US PSN store gets a new demo, movie, free themes, wallpaper and so much other stuff every goddamn week.

In the eyes of PlayStation, even though we hold most of their user base we should come last in receiving goodies.

Most of the time, it's not a technical issue, but problems with licensing. If it comes to Sony, download (and buy) all you want. But every game and software needs to be licensed, checked by the repective board and only then it gets a go. if you want to blame anyone, blame the rating board of your country.

Maybe I missed something in school when I learned where countries were located.

Correct me if I'm wrong. New Zealand is not in Europe.

Unless Russia has magically swapped places with Australia and New Zealand has replaced the island Novala Zemlya.
