It's been a while since we've said anything about 2 Days to Vegas (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC). Probably because Steel Monkey themselves have been quiet, too. But that silence is broken today with two new video gameplay footage for the game.

The vids you'll see show the game in progress, and it's obvious there's still a lot to be done. Tim Dvoskin of Steel Monkeys say they'll continue to work on elements such as physics and animations further.

"Textures we will deal with as well, but to the lesser extent, as we feature three major cities and highways, and there is a limit to the amount of art resource we can throw at it - cannot compare with corridor-like games."

See how 2 Days to Vegas is faring in its development:

The weapon sounds are dangerously similar to those of counter strike, for instance, the usp - the firing and reload sounds are IDENTICAL, as well as the UMP's reload sound.

Maybe they're both really close to the real sound, or there's been some stealing.

Why are they showing pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-prealpha stuff? IF this is the base of the game, that is.

Yeah x0m13ie, it IS the sounds of CS. And the controls is looking like it's the same, same for the graphics. I'm sure it's just a fake video made with the conterstrike engine to tell the truth.

PS: Wasn't this game cancelled?

I thought the exact same thing, then I scrolled down and read your comment, CS sounds for sure, To me it looks fake because compared to rendered screenshots of the game I saw ages ago this looks nothing of the same.
