Video: SKATE character progression explained

SKATE (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) by Electronic Arts is set to be released on September 11, 2007 in the US and Canada to give next-gen consoles a dash of skating flash and realism. We've seen quite a few trailers of this prospect and we must say that it's looking better and better each time. What you're about to see is the Skater Progression trailer. Have a look:



As you can see in this video, the developer explains how your skater progresses from creation, exploration to a bonafide extreme sport star shooting trick videos for a living. There's a plethora of things to do in this game, which can be described as a hybrid between a sandbox title and sporting sim.

As you've probably noticed by now, SKATE is as much about style as it is on gameplay. The main feature being touted by developers is the ability to view 45 seconds of replays and customize camera angles to get the best possible look. Users can then upload the clip to EA's servers and have everyone see what stuff you're made of.
