is it

going to be on TNT?

..

You are tools.. This game is going to be another COD4 with a new skin, just like WaW. I read that they are using the COD4 engine in this game as well. Nothing to get over excited about, the graphics don't look much better than the previous installments either. If they don't have an actual clan system similar to KZ2 it will be nothing more than a $60 map pack for COD4. ** I HOPE I AM WRONG but something tells me they are not putting the effort into this game that it deserves because they are going to ride the hype and fame of the last game **
by papakep - 2009-05-22 11:09:29
whatever

i will gladly pay for a $60 map pack

Lmfao

Shut up with that same engine rubbish Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon gta 3.vc + sa 7 burnout games 3 mortal Kombat games tony hawks 1 - 4 they all used the same engine!
by Musev - 2009-05-22 11:14:12
and

I do mean they all use the same engine as each other.
by DARKnikon - 2009-05-22 11:36:59
Don't get me wrong..

I would to, it is still a day one buy for me. I just hate how people act like MW2 is going to be the end all FPS. Killzone 2 isn't as popular, but IMO it has much more depth with the classes adding to the tactic game play and the clan system makes it more interesting.
by papajag - 2009-05-22 11:46:55
Yup...

No tactics required for CoD4 and probably MW2. I still see myself running around killing all the other teams ass. If you don't believe me add papajag for PS3. No XBL this time ran out of cash with all these games coming out.
by NarooN - 2009-05-22 12:14:10
.

DARknikon is correct for the most part. Sure, the game *looks* like it's gonna make you waste another 500 hours of your life, probably 2 hours spent on the Campaign and the other 498 spent on the repetitive multiplayer, but I can't wait for the game to release so you FPS Kiddies will see just how right I've been all along. This trailer is trash, it's just the same thing as the last trailer with 2 nanoseconds of "new" footage in it. Snow mobiles? Wow. It being on the same engine means nothing, as the gameplay will be the same anyway. MP will be another COD4 expansion, and this is very obvious. Run around, see someone, and spray them with your no-recoil [insert gun here] or snipe them with a 1 Hit-Kill [insert gun here]. Still, IW knows how to get money. Just make shiny expansion packs, and change the name up now and then, and hype people up every week with the same exact trailer with 1 second of new footage in it. It's more than enough to lure in all the sheep.
by Master Chef - 2009-05-22 12:51:52
lol

I usually agree with your posts, but dude calm down, COD is just a game, no need to rant about it in every COD article and call people "kiddies" over it. I thought the trailer was badass since I only care about the single player, and the single player and new coop mode look awesome. I agree about the mp, that probably will be just like COD4, ie zero skill required
by Binary - 2009-05-22 13:24:17
still

Its going to be one hell of a kick ass story. I love it! its so realistic!
by Orlyeh - 2009-05-22 18:51:59
Treyarch

The folks making "shiny" expansion packs would be Treyarch not IW. I know you enjoy your Halo and Counter-Strike games where you have to pump your enemies full of bullets before they die, but CoD games have always been a little different. They lie somewhere between Red Orchestra and Unreal Tournament which is fine for me and, apparently, quite a bit of people.

?

How much calmer could I have been when I made that post? I'm not afraid to type out whatever's on my mind at the time. It only took about 1 minute to type it out, so it's no waste of time for me. If people get tired of seeing my flawless posts, they can just ignore them. It's not hard.
by NarooN - 2009-05-22 19:47:32
.

LOL! You've never played Counter-Strike if you think it takes "pumping your enemy full of lead" to kill someone. Anyone, at any time, can die from a single shot. Pistols are deadly, dead can strike at any moment. Guns have massive recoil, and complex spray patterns. Even equipping Kevlar and a Helment won't stop most bullets from killing you any faster than they would without. Wheras in CoD, it's just a perkfest with no recoil, and nothing is complex at all with the gameplay. It's like BF2, you see someone, shoot and tehy die. That's it. Comparing CoD to Red Orchestra or UT... I don't know *where* you got those from. CoD isn't comparable to UT in any way besides them both being FPS games. Red Orchestra is far more realistic than any of the CoD's on the market. CoD is only as popular as it is now because of the modern theme and the fact that it's a pick up and play arcade shooter. No actual skill, thought, or tactics needed.

@NarooN

You should chill lol. Every Modern Warfare 2 related post that comes up on QJ has you ranting your heart out about how CoD is not good and how much you prefer PC shooters that require skill and all that crap. If you're so sure CoD doesn't require any sort of skill to play then fine, keep it to yourself because honestly, posting on QJ isn't going to change the opinion of 14 million people around the globe. They'll be playing the lame FPS with no skill involved having fun while you're over there honing skills on....whatever it is you like to do. Play games to have fun kid. If you don't have fun with CoD fine. But stop trying to tell other people what you think is wrong with their game because they wont care. Its just an argument over the popular. There will always be those who hate it because of success, and they'll compare it to what they like more (CoD vs Halo or Halo vs CoD it doesn't matter) in the end, only a small fraction will read your post and a smaller fraction wont even give a damn. Anyway .................Can't wait for this game gonna buy it day one LOL
by Orlyeh - 2009-05-22 20:06:01
lol at defending CS

HAHAHAHA I KNEW IT! "t's like BF2, you see someone, shoot and tehy die. That's it." Yeah, that's kinda how shooting someone works. The real irony is that you'll point out in CS how you can die from a single shot without mentioning how the recoil and inaccuracy of every gun is ludicrous. Rifles are deadly accurate to hundreds of yards in real life and do not have "massive recoil" as you put it. "Comparing CoD to Red Orchestra or UT... I don't know *where* you got those from." then you perhaps lack significant cognitive ability? the realism in CoD is somewhere between RO which is, as you put it - you see someone, shoot them, and they die and UT's stark contrast of double jumps, wall jumps, health pickups, mega health, armor, etc. if you can't make such a logical deduction, are you really able of coherent thought?
by Relys - 2009-05-22 21:32:15
ummmmm

Almost as disappointing as the first trailer? I'm extremely annoyed that they're using the same engine. I don't know if I'll buy this. The single player appeals to me. (It looks like they're doing some cool new things, such as riot shields, and interactive physics objects on maps). But I'm not sure if I can stand playing it on the same engine, after playing the crap out of MW, and WaW. (You know, the same no-recoil guns. And just the whole feeling of playing in the engine). I'll probably end up buying it. I still do play MW, and if MW2 gets rid of the perk system and adds a character customization system. (Sort of like Socom), I think that would sell it for me. I'm tired of stupid perks such as juggernaut, 3 frag, martydom, ect. I think you should be able to choose equipment, like RPGS, claymores, and C4. But I really think they need to rework the whole multiplayer system.
by kraft - 2009-05-22 22:26:06
well..

who cares if it's the same engine? I'm happy with anything that ISN'T the unreal 3 engine that's in nearly every game. does nobody realise how shiney engine is
by NarooN - 2009-05-23 01:44:23
?

Red Orchestra: Osfront 41-45 is at least 20x as realistic as CoD. CoD has perks, but they're not as insane as U-Damage or Invisibility. That argument is void. CS's massive recoil is an extreme contrast to CoD's "all bullets go in a perfectly straight line" approach. Argument ended. Next?
by NarooN - 2009-05-23 01:51:18
.

As stated before, through my infallible logic and reasoning, I'll continue to post my facts of the series as many times as necessary. I've obviously swayed a lot of people on here, but there's only a few more to go. Next, I'll probably go back to actually playing the game, telling the players themselves everything I've educated to you all. I'm smiling. I play console FPS just as much as PC FPS. Neither is superior to another. I'm sure you wanted to know that.

"Red Orchestra: Osfront 41-45 is at least 20x as realistic as CoD. CoD has perks, but they're not as insane as U-Damage or Invisibility. That argument is void." "[CoD games] lie somewhere between Red Orchestra and Unreal Tournament" you just supported my argument, but thanks for playing Counter-Strikes massive recoil is an utter joke and totally irrepresentative of real life. You lam***** CoD for being an arcade shooter yet defend Counter-Strike even though it's equally just as arcade-like. There's no argument here, there's just favoritism. I heard an interesting story the other day on the radio. A former marine, Clayton South, was conducting room-to-room operations when he was shot nearly point blank in the face. Effectively being taken out of comission for the rest of the battle and heavily wounded, he was still able to throw a grenade at his foe. Martyrdom, anyone?

You seriously must have no life, your on here everyday looking for Cod posts and posting your useless opinion, it's ok to have one but not everyone needs to know it everyday! I do believe more ppl like Cod than hate it so shut your pie hole...if you dont like the damn game shut the f*** up and leave the Cod posts alone and go back to the dark hole you came from, you have no friends in life and obviously no one likes you on here, take a look at your boring and pathetic life, get outside more...BTW, i made this account just to hopefully make you stop But your probably gonna just go on here once again because you probably sit at you computer and just keep refreshing this page because you hope someone will agree with you, but face it it's you against how many million ppl that actually like this game and wanna play it? Exactly....
by Master Chef - 2009-05-23 12:15:35
eh

w/e if you care that much then rant your heart out, but if the posts average you 2 mins or so each and I were to count them all it'd be a lot of time wasted, trust me. also lol @ the CS bashing, that game is amazing, I don't think I've ever seen anyone ever bash CS for any reason. You are the first Oryleh

The fact that you put so much of your time and thought into that post, in an attempt to get me to "stop" helping you guys, is a bit saddening. I mean, I have so many fans on here, and other places as well, especially real life, yet you're trying to get me to stop? I can't do that, man. As for refreshing the page...no. I merely check whatever articles I posted in when I come to check the site about twice or three times a day. The articles the lovely folks at QJ post for us come first, but you guys come in at a close second.
by yourmistakes - 2009-05-24 02:00:23
let it go man

nobody cares. yeah, your posts are great and concise and informative, but it doesn't matter because it's an opinion. deduce that.
