MLB 2007: The Show has been given props for its innovative Road to the Show mode, but this video here reminds us that there's a lot more to the title than playing solo as a custom-built rookie and moving your way up the ranks. There's also online competition to test your skills against other ballplayers.

In its online multiplayer mode, EA Sports banners the League mode which allows users to join public or private leagues. Users will jostle for playoff berths and duke it out to see who really deserves the pennant.

You'll need to refine your skills, though. The game of anticipation can be one nerve-wracking contest, and your online opponents won't take it easy on you. Get warmed up in the bullpen and see if you can shut them out, rookie.
