Yup, this video brings back the glory years of the franchise with footage stemming from the very first MGS to spin-offs and sequels of the yesteryears. If you haven't been keeping track, it's been a decade since Hideo Kojima shocked us all with his first run as director, and we have him to thank for all the great tactical espionage action memories we've known since then.
MGS4 launches on the 12th of June this year, and Beta testing for Metal Gear Online is now live. We've all got our fingers crossed that this game will prove to be an early contender for Game of the Year honors. We'll keep you posted for more.

OMFG they recreated alaska!!! thats so freaking cool I wonder if you get to see as much of it as you did in the first one
I'm not a hardcore MGS fan, but I loved MGS1 and 2. I can't believe they recreated the first outdoor area from MGS1... Shadow Moses in MGS4 as a bonus maybe? This HAS to be in the final game in some shape or form...
What if the entirety of MGS1 has been recreated and put on the MGS4 disc? While this may seem like a dream, think about it; Kojima never really revealed EVERYTHING that will be in the final game. Maybe this is another contributing factor to them filling up the 50gb limit?

And, from the look of the trailer, it's just going to be that first section. Once you walk past a certain point, it cuts out and it shows snake waking up in a heli with Otacon. He must have fallen asleep while on his way somewhere...
Anyway, that's just my guess. It would be just about the greatest thing ever if they recreated it. Think of how Meryl would look in her undies in high-def!
I wish they would recreate it but you do know that one of the five locations is going to be alaska, thats why in the other trailers you see snake in Metal Gear REX facing off to MG RAY
Is it just me or did you guys notice that snake ISNT old in this trailer!!!!!!! He has his dark hair no moustache and his scruffy sideburns!!!! look closely!!
If you look closely, too, you will notice he wakes up at the end and he DOES have his grey hair and everything.
