Video: Latest Silent Hill 5 gameplay clip

All of you Silent Hill franchise fans brace yourself because we've got a new gameplay video of Silent Hill 5 (Xbox 360, PS3) and it's a pretty lengthy one. Don't mind the voice-over walking us through if you can't decipher a word. We can't either. Have a look:

As you can see, Konami is holding true to its promise of grounding Silent Hill 5 closer to the first one from way back in the PSX (PSOne) days. The scenery is reminiscent of that first trip down this spooky town with the heavy fog and decrepit structures providing a chillingly nostalgic atmosphere.

Silent Hill 5 is due out on the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 in 2008. It's going to be a while before we get to revisit scare central again, but at least we have trailers like this to chew on while we wait.
