Now, the big question is, is this real or is it just the work of some dedicated and skilled fans? Sony has chosen not to make any comment on the video and has said that they haven't announced anything called "Project Trico". Team Ico hasn't said anything yet either, but they're supposed to show off their third game at E3 so we'll know pretty soon.

What the hell is that thing?!? Is it a Cat-Bird-Sphinx-thingy?
I think this is fake. The graphics look too crummy and amateur :/ Also looking at the amount of unique design the other games had this doesn't look right. The big monster doesn't look like something from that would be designed by the same people who did the other games, especially the Colossi. Although I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
the video is from an early stage of the game 1 year ago, and the cat like creature is way too well animated to be the result of a poor amateur production
I never said the animation was poor or anything I just said that the design of it just looks so out of place. I suppose the first prototype video for Shadow of the Colossus looked a lot different from the original so perhaps a lot will change. I just think the monster looks a bit naff for my liking :/
See man, ign posted the screenie of the chains at the begining. so this looks legit. i really liked shadow of the collassus. and this looks to be something maybe a lill innovative. its different ..thats for sure.looks 2 be a puzzle/ digi pet game mix kinda. but ya neva know. as for graphics...most of the them look good..except for the boy which sadly does look like ps1 quality. But that could just be it's style. we'll have 2 see but im excited this look like a much watch. we cant just play games Like gta IV or max payne all the time and enjoy the mindless killing ( tho yes they are fun, for that and other reasons. don't hate on me) but we need to try and see new things in caming. Not everyone is gunna wanna shoot some one with a shotgun at point blank just to see how far they fly. so yeah...new = cool....hopefullly
If this is real... then bye bye goes Team ICO's credibility x_x... i dunno though... maybe it is real? personally I hated Ico... leading a girl around a castle wasnt that great for me, BUT! I thought Shadow of the Colossus was amazing and probably will hold the "Best PS2 Game I've Played" trophy alongside Metal Gear Solid 3, Black and Final Fantasy XII. But that's just me. I really hope this game will be as thought inspiring, imaginative and utterly astounding as SotC was. For me anyway..
It looks like team ICO's version of Puff the Magic Dragon. I imagine the game to be something along the lines of the boy is looking after the "Catffin" while trying to keep monster hunters away. It looks like it will use SoC grip physics to ride the creature and solve puzzles and find food. I can't wait to see the look on it's face when you fall off and it has to start over after picking you up...lol
Looks friggen legit to me. Fits the theme of the past games with in u playing a male lead with some sort of companion to aid u in quests and follow u around, the kind of animations looked legit to me, the setting looked legit, and honesttly this will prolly be what the game is like. I think this is most likely either from some very early build, or it isnt the game at all and was just like a tech demo type thing of someting they'd like to do? In my eyes this is what the game will be, either way ill be buying it, SoTC is an orgasmicly explosive game, i think anythign the devs do will be on par.

But that doesn't say that the "won't" announce anything called 'Project Trico', only the true statement that they haven't (yet). ;-)

It looks way too bizarre to be fan made. And while the 3D models might look a little dated the backgrounds and lighting seem too well made to be amateur. I think its amazingly interesting looking. Like something out of a Hiyao Miyazaki film. Don't judge the game by a bizarre creature. Wait until you hear about what kind of game it is and the premise of the story before you go saying "there goes team Ico's credibility" or something else ignorant. I don't see how anyone can look at a creature that ridiculous and not think "Well thats pretty imaginative."
